per the CBA, can you cut a suspended player?

You would have to have another justification for it like failing a conditioning test or something. You can't cut someone for a drug offense after the league has already suspended them because it's like getting double punished for the same offense.

Can a team fine a suspended player? I'm not sure but I doubt it. I would think it is up to the player to report to camp or not. If the suspended player doesn't want to report to camp, I don't see the team being able to do anything. Contractually, I'm guessing McClain doesn't have to show up until one week before the 11th game.

Anyway, concerning fines, I don't recall the Cowboys fining many players lately for not reporting to camp. Maybe my memory is wrong, but I don't think Jerry fines players for not reporting to camp.

Yes they can fine him...he is not technically suspended until Week One.....he is allowed to practice and go to all meetings and play in the pres-season, so he is required and expected to be there

Rolando has made it obvious he doesn't take Football that serious. When he was out of a job and we gave him a shot he was on fire.. he was wrecking dudes. Then he gets complacent and goes back to the loser he was before. Waste of time! Kick rocks rolando.

I think the writing is,on the wall, he is basically saying "Please cut me'! But I think Dallas is working to get some money back.

He is not suspended until the season begins. He is required to be at all mandatory camps

If he truly wants to be cut, then I'm against cutting him. I'm for doing the opposite of whatever he wants.

good idea, make him quit , or do some more stuff so no other team will ever want him, that way his football career is over.
