Rolando McClain - progress or failing the team?

Hurt players take time to get well. Those who miss games due to suspensions, also miss out on the " game day conditioning". It's one thing to practice, but the real battle experience is what prepares and conditions the body to go full out for 3 hours....

If you train for any type of competition you know what I mean...

They don't.

The fact that RoMac is still playing for this team says a lot about the scant discipline that rules this outfit.

It speaks volumes about the desperation that prevails as well. Put 'em both together and hello, RoMac.

I have no idea what you're getting at.

RoMac has been a good soldier since he walked through these doors.

I thought McClain gave a much improved effort Sunday. Is he rounding into shape or should the Cowboys plan on dumping him going forward?

Jesus....Go watch the tape....and specifically watch him. He whiffed on more tackles than he made. He sucks. There is no other way to explain it. Fans go goo goo over the measurements.....but the fact is he's been going through the motions since he got here. He quit in the Packers playoff game....and should have never been resigned to begin with.

Your idea of being a good soldier and mine don't seem to match. He's surely not devoted to staying in shape any more than he's conscientious about being available for practice at times, according what I've seen.

So McClain is a cancer for taking time to get into his groove? This whole team, outside of Romo, including the OL must have been a cancer the first two games of the season...

I think people don't like the reports he was talking about retiring again. Or that he was reportedly hobbling around the clubhouse Friday with an injury that had cropped up suddenly during a week when Lee was already out.

But I"m sure his suspension and poor play for the few weeks he was sick there play into his reputation, too. I don't blame the guy if he was sick, but it's hard to separate 'sick' from 'faking it' sometimes.

I feel RoMc benefitted a lot from playing along side Justin Durant last year ....
Didn't Rod Marinelli say Durant was the best LB he had or something to that extent?

Dude was coming off knee surgery. But interesting that you have a better handle on the work Ro has put in verses Garret who has said on a few occasions that Ro has worked hard.

It has been well publicized that he had missed meetings and practices well before the knee problem occurred. JG seldom has negative things to say about his charges unless things get pretty sorely out of hand. It has also been reported several times that Ro isn't one to apply himself when it comes to workouts and conditioning.

He missed 4 games due to drug suspension and it will be worse if it happens again.

IMO you ride him out till the end of the season and cut bait after. Id do the same with Hardy. Its too dangerous counting on guys who are one misstep from a lengthy suspension

Exactly...

He seems to have had a better game, not quite back to form but improving.

I thought you knew.......Garrett is a liar and a puppet:rolleyes:

Best secret weapon in the NFL was the quote I believe.
