Was listening to some sports radio and the Defensive line coach of Colaraodo Sal sunseri ?

Was talking about best linebacker he ever seen... He was LB coach at Alabama during McClain years. Says he is the top 3 most dominant defensive college player he has ever seen.. He mentioned Ray Lewis and Clowney as the other two..

Man what a waist! We saw a few short glimpses here in Dallas.
Man was he country strong and he had all of the tools to be a HOF'ER probably first ballot. Just he couldn't keep it together internally. Waste of a generational talent.

I loved watching him pick up grown *** men, athletes, and smash them on the ground. One of my favorites.

McClain was a beast here when he was at his best. In fact he once made a game saving tackle here (I want to say in 2014?) when he tackled someone on the Giants on 4th and 1.

But too often he had "other stuff" going on that kept him from playing at that level on a week to week; even on a play to play basis. Such a waste.

6’4”, 250 w/ legit 4.5 speed COMBINED WITH elite instincts and toughness - there was nothing he couldn’t do on the field…such a waste.

David Irving was an absolute monster too. Didn’t have the same college pedigree as Rolando. But David was incredibly dominant for small stretches like I haven’t seen since.
Irving could have literally been Chris Jones if he wasn’t a total head case.

Such a disappointing waste of elite talent and god given ability.

Rolando McClain had Crohn’s disease (a bowel disease) which is life altering for a lot of people. It started for him in high school. I’ve always wondered if the “purple drank “ path was a result of his illness. I always felt bad for him.
