What do you guys think about Romance Taylor - He had 15 TD's in 2005 during their championship run and is a poor mans reggie bush. He is expected ro run 4.4 in the forty and was invited to the combine even though he didn't play in 2006. He has had some off field issues in the past and will cause him to be a late round pick. He was busted with 4lbs of weed. For you big UT fans out there is he worth taking a flyer on??
as a huge UT fan i think Taylor is without a doubt worth taking a look at and drafting. Yes he has made mistakes but like someone mentioned before me it appears that he has changed his life around and was really humbled by being out of football this last year. the guy can fly and is just a flatout playmaker. the guy has 1st rd talent and so i really hope we have a chance to get him.

Hmm. Different styles. I'd have to lean toward JC, even though he didn't have a great year last year. They are both fast as hell and can catch out of the backfield. Both are patient and use their blockers well. JC is better suited to be a traditional NFL RB though. He bounces off of first contact better. I agree that RT would be better used like Reggie Bush.

I think a late draft pick on RT would be fantastic. I think he could step in and be the #3 rb, #4 wr and kr/pr next year.

see marcus vick from last yr...would most likely make his biggest impact as a return man, no experience as a #1 runner or nething.

Personally, Ramonce always struck me as the better player. JC was great out of the backfield but I don't remember him being very versatile. Ramonce was the definition of versatility in an offensive player.
You could line Ramonce up at RB or WR and create some serious mismatches for the defense.

Both are outstanding college players. I hope they do well in the NFL.

He's got an entire career of experience as a RB and WR... quite the opposite of Marcus Vick.

he played 2 season at UT splitting time with 2 other guys each year...he should transfer to another D1 school n then go to the draft so he has at least one yr as a clear cut number one

I agree. I have nothing against given a guy a 2nd chance but would not make a big investment on an immature kid with a troubled past. 7th rd or UDFA is about right
I'd seriously look at taking him w/ our 4th rounder. He'd be everything that we hoped Skyler Green would be: PR, KR, RB, WR......
He's worth a shot w/ our 4th.....

Jamall doesn't run five yards backwards before trying to gain yards, Ramonce does it just about every play. Ramonce looks like he's returning punts in the backfield, although he got away with it in college.
Ramonce was too criminal for Texas and too stupid for NAIA. This guy's been a turd he's whole life, if he's not drafted offer him about $7.00 an hour.

Maroney was his last season in Minnesota because Barber had already graduated. Taylor's lack of experience is not that big a deal considering he should be no better than a late round draft pick or UDFA. If we were talking about first day pick or even 4th rounder, then I would say it does matter. Dallas does not need him, but if he is still available after the draft, then I would not mind signing him to at least compete in camp. We don't know ifTyson Thompson will be completely healthy when he comes back or if Skyler Green will make any strides. Training camp fodder is not a bad thing.

he must be your dealer

The thread originator spelled his name as ROMANCE instead of RAMONCE.

I said yesterday that if the draft were held today (Valentine's Day) that ROMANCE Taylor would be the top pick...

I'll wave next time I fly over your head... ;)

oh... btw... my dealer has a COMPLETELY different name!
