I'd rather rue Martellus, never could figure out why this team couldn't put his talents to more use. I suspect it was because the OL sucked so bad they had to keep him in to block.

Because he was the Forrest Gump of Tight Ends and the staff didn't have time to wait for the braces to fall off.

I would not consider him a malcontent but I would consider him irresponsible. He was late and warned and then is late again. I have to ask myself would BP tolerate that from a late rd pick or would Jimmy tolerate it? I don't think so. If Dallas does nothing we get to hear about the country club atmosphere and if they do take action then they were foolish.

When Jeff Heath is the alternative then you need to bend the rules. When your team has holes at nearly every position group, you don't give up on pure talent that easily. You don't draft a Caleb McSurdy when a Vontaze Burfict is available. You have to take risks like you did with RoMc. There were other ways to discipline Dixon then to flat out cut him. If he was as much as a malcontent as some make him out to be then you wouldn't have current players tweeting about him like that. We made a flat out mistake. I think Dixon right now is better than Wilcox too fwiw.

I'm fine with it, as bad as Wilcox and Church are in coverage, Dixon was much worse.

That sig gif is hilarious!

Heath > McCray > Dixon

Dixon = mud

Why are we always so quick to label players malcontents? The other "malcontent" Marty B only has 4 TDs so far this year. This team is too talent depleted to allow little disagreements off the field get in the way of making things work out.

I don't think anyone labeled him a malcontent. I think when it was reported that he was being released, the reporters immediately started posting about his "entitlement" issues.

Chicago kept having safeties go out of the game with injuries and Dixon never came in on defense. I think that says all we need to know. Who cares if he did well on special teams. We have plenty of those guys and we don't need his poor attitude.

That's a good example for comparison.

Marty B is a few rejections farther along than Dixon.

Might be seeing a bit of maturity starting to fester.

Could happen to Dixon, too.

I think the rules were bent he was given a chance after already being warned he continued to be late. I agree Ro came as a risk and since he has been here there have been no issues. I don't mind giving any player a chance I do mind when you give them a chance and they continue to break team policy. As for Ro tweet, I have no doubt players build bonds with each other but that in no way should change the policy a team has in place. It goes back to what many moaned about a country club atmosphere you either hold them accountable or not. I wish no ill will on Dixon and he could be better than Wilcox that really is debatable. He made a play on special teams and now is irreplaceable?

Wrong he came in for the Chicago D and played well on Defense, just like Bennett and Bears FB Tony Fiammetta it's yet another in the long line of talent that Jerry and Co. continually whiff on players like Ahmad Dixon.

You can't improve on this level missing on NFL talent no matter the position. This is a huge reason the majority consensus is that Dallas sucks and is also terrible at evaluating players. Chicago knows where to look.......Disfunctional Dallas.

Bottom line is that they potentially represent 3 Starters on a better NFL team.

I believe Fiammetta was out with a hammy injury. He didn't play. And if you follow his career path since leaving Dallas, it's not like he's been lighting up the field.

I don't recall seeing Dixon on the field in the regular defense. He may have played some snaps on D, but he's not starting.

Bennett has done well since leaving, but he admitted his mistakes in Dallas and I think he and the team have moved on. Fans should try to, as well.

It wasn't negative, it seemed random and I figured there was some event that triggered it. Obviously, that event was the Bears playing last night which was not on my radar.

I throw myself on the mercy of the court.
All I need to know now is who was at praktiss today ... yes I'm talkin' about praktiss.

Wrong Fiammetta played and Dixon played on the Defense as a Strong Safety, Bennett is a top producing TE in the NFL. Dallas is a practice squad for the rest of the NFL paying attention, Cowboys Front Office will cut talented players for non-football reasons that other NFL Rosters scoop up on a regular basis to contribute.

There is disconnect and discontent with players that have been here whom do not wish to put it on the line for this Franchise.

And with so much roster potential oozing out of the seams around here, nobody seems to notice. Rather with so many additives it still looks like soup, just deal with what you're being served and learn to stomach the next ingredient.

I gave Bennett his props and I think most normal people would too, but realistically speaking, have they missed his production from the TE spot? Nope.

How many snaps did Dixon play, because he didn't register a tackle. I only noticed him on ST and he was beasting there.

And Fiammetta is a fullback. Forgive me if I just don't lose any sleep about the guy. He's been on at least three teams since Dallas, I wonder if other fan bases lament his loss the way some Cowboy fans do. lol
