Today on Sirius they were interviewing Peter "burger" King and he said Crennel might be out in Cleveland. GM and ownership were meeting next week to decide his fate. Any chance PB goes after him if he is let go? Crennel always put a good defense on the field that wasn't so predictable.

I bet he'd be back with Belichick before coming here

Might be a pride thing and BB already has a guy doing a decent job there. Zimmer is awful and hopefully BP sees the light.

my only worry with that is what if its Parcells really acting as the DC and Zimmer, Crennel etc etc are just puppets?

My preference is just to see all our current coaches gone, including Parcells

Considering the AWFUL luck they have had with injuries to their star players, I really do not see what all the criticism is with the browns. this is only his second year and they have gotten better. they were truly putrid when he got there.

I agree...if they fire Crennel after only two yrs and with all the injuries they've had, they are really a clown-like organization

Well, so far I can say that the front office of the Browns have not impressed me at all.

They are a clown organization anyways.

They have turned into the Bengals, before the bengals got Lewis.

They have had no good luck since they got back into the league and man alive talk about some horrid drafts since coming back into the league.

I think they are one of those teams that just are cursed and many coaches would fail at.

Maybe someone will come along later and turn it around, like Lewis for the Bengals, but until then I don't think they have much of a chance.

Which is kind of sad really. At one time at least they were good.

Yes, Cleveland please fire Romo ASAP.
Note to Bill: Send Zimmer packing and pay Romo whatever he wants !

Look what he's done with Wimbley, as a rookie. That's a guy I would love having his hand in our defense. I wonder who their DC is....

It's Todd Grantham...he was an assistant for several years under Dom Capers in Houston before taking over as DC last in Cleveland

Ouch only the last three #1's are still with the team.

And two of those last three (winslow and Braylon) have had injury issues that have taken away playing time...not sure if they are just newer versions of Courtney Brown in that respect.

Either way that team really seems to have been cursed since coming back into the league, whether that be through play, previous coaching or drafting.

Hard to take that history and put the current coach on a hot seat after only being there a couple of years.

However to be fair I have not watched them this year so maybe there is more to it than just bad drafts and past. Maybe there is something with the coaching as well.

My money is on the FO and the Cleveland curse.

If Crennel became available I think Jerry would pay top dollar to get him hear. Crennel would see himself as the next in line for the position because he would know that Parcells is leaving. I think Jerry would go really hard after Crennel and we all know that money talks and Kraft does not play well.

Didn't even BB of the Pats also coach at Cleveland once upon a time?

I think that experience was a fiasco for him as well.
