Romeo Crennel on the hot seat?

Didn't even BB of the Pats also coach at Cleveland once upon a time?

I think that experience was a fiasco for him as well.

Yes he did.

I think the last coach they had, before they came back into the league, that had any amount of success may have been Marty.

Yep he died there before becoming a Genius in New England.

Must be something in the water at Cleveland . . . .

In any case, I would be all for having Crennel in Dallas.

Today on Sirius they were interviewing Peter "burger" King and he said Crennel might be out in Cleveland. GM and ownership were meeting next week to decide his fate. Any chance PB goes after him if he is let go? Crennel always put a good defense on the field that wasn't so predictable.

I would have zero complaints.
But who is PB? :D

People talking about getting in another DC will also have to remember something. You got BP on year to year basis, so why would any DC that is going to be hot commodity come here?

That in nutshell is the problem with BP. And thats the reason I also think he stuck with Zimmer till now, since the coaches have no real security here.

I think Romeo would only come here if he was promised BPs job upon his retirement.

Everyone knows Bill is almost definitely gone after next year (if not this one). For a guy like Crennel he would absolutely come if he gets a shot at the HC spot once Bill leaves.

I agree...if they fire Crennel after only two yrs and with all the injuries they've had, they are really a clown-like organization

David

No doubt they are clowns and Crennel deserves to keep his job. However, if he does get fired, I would love to see him coordinating our D.

And what gives anyone a good feel for Crennel being a good HC? I for one, don't see it, Browns or not. You are what you are, like BP says.

I rather see someone proven or someone with promise, rather than recycled failure. Don't even compare Bill Belichek stint with Browns, since he was far more successful than Crennel was with Browns.

same old story... BP cant get good coaches who want to know where they will be the next 4 or 5 years... the only way BP will get good coaches is if Jerry Re-ups (more than a year) and BP stop acting like he is thinking about how much of a discount he gets at Dennys!!!

So BP will be stuck with guys noone wants like Hufnagel of the Giants next year!!!

Oh and any coach we have now will be looking for the first ticket out of DALLAS... consider Zimmer gone if his contract is up! If Zimmer stays that just shows u how sad he really is!!!

They got killed with injuries this year, I think its way early to call Crennel a "recycled failure" after 2 years with the Browns.

My first choice is to see Zimmy and BP both leave. But, if BP comes back, then the next best thing would be to bring in Crennel to take Zims place. Maybe a familiar face and an improved defense would revitalize the tuna.
