Romo and Dak based on Raw Ability

Those playoff records are wildly different.

In the losses, Romo made many plays. Dak made virtually none.

Not even debatable.
You see...you can't do this. You have to cite STATS. You cannot simply say "I saw plays".

You'd think these stat people wouldn't even watch games. If stats alone define players...why bother watching the games?

And so now we have ...the...human condition. The human brain has to sense things and recreate them in their brain. THEN...they have to spit it back out...without error.

Well they obviously don't HAVE to. Spit it out without error.

Most people don't care about perception error. You could literally replay it back and they'd say that's not what happened. Fight you to the death about it.

Sports stats are crutches for weak arguments. The less refined use them as "facts", when they're really just conditional results full of anomalies.

Look how many awful decisions franchises make based on stats. That's why most high-dollar free agents don't pan out.

so as I said. both stink. one stinks a little less.

that's what cowboys nation has come to....argue over which crap smells less.

and what about the Romo loss to the giants at home, with #1 seed.

yeah Giants won the superbowl, they played great, blah blah blah....doesn't change the fact he laid an egg.
against Minn, losing 34-3....he made plays? what plays?

come on dude...you are grasping at straws. you are a RomoSexual

yet 2-4 in playoffs....hmmm, he was so good..

fact is both underwhelmed.
Tony may not of had a great playoff record, but when he stepped on the field you knew he gave the Cowboys a chance to win the game. I never get that feeling with Prescott, every time he steps onto the field you get that bad feeling that something bad is about to undo the Cowboys. His passing skills are a joke anymore, receivers and TEs are constantly struggling to get yards after the catch because of the horrible passes Prescott throws to his targets. CeeDee injured his shoulder because of a lousy pass he caught from Prescott, the CB was able to slam him to the ground because of the circus catch he had to make on a little lousy 5-7 yd pass.

so your feeling, because you like Romo is that he gave us a chance to win. in the end, it didn't happen they way you "feel" because reality is that he failed to deliver, despite all the feelings in the world some Romo fans may have had. was I a romo fan? yes at the time. I am a cowboys fan, so I want to believe they can. but now years later, dust settled, reality is he didn't get it done.

and again, here we go spinning it into a Dak bashing conversation. this is about Romo....2-4. didn't get it done. 3 times failed to win a game and get into playoffs.

go ahead and bash Dak all you want. make him into smellier of the two if that makes you feel better. end result for both is crap.

Romo had the glitch where he would make a horrible mistake at the worst time.
Dak has the deer in the headlights look with eyes wide open like the stage is just too big for him.
Romo was hands down the better QB and was completely robbed of going to an NFC championship game. The Dez catch was a catch. Now there was time so Rodgers may of won the game but the refs didn't want to take that chance.
Both guys lacked the pedigree ability that Eli Manning showed in winning his two SBs. Say what you want about the defense and the Tyree catch and the Samuels missed INT but the dude threw 8 TD passes on the road to the SB. Eli may of been suspect in the regular season but Eli owned the GOAT in the post season. And yeah he got lucky but he also capitalized on the luck. Pedigree is what wins!
Eli had two great SB runs.
His regular seasons were average.

It's not nothing to have two great SB runs, but it's a travesty that such an otherwise average QB is even mentioned in HOF talk.

But what matters the most? I think most of us wish Dak or Romo had an avg season and than stepped it up on the bigger stage and won a SB.
