Guy's.. Romo is a really good QB but the perception of him is that he's a choker.

Today he was unbelievable and outplayed one of the best QBs of all time until the end of the game where he CHOKED.

I don't get why so many of you are upset at people for calling him out for it.

We know Romo can be great but stop making excuses for this guy in the clutch. It's clearly in his own head so I don't see why it isn't just accepted that this is what he does.

I saw the discussion Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy had on the NBC pregame show and they said it has to in his head and Harrison said to them before that drive started that Tony looked like he didn't look comfortable being in that moment and was afraid of making a mistake. I noticed after the sack that Tony looked like he was pressing like he did in the Giants playoff game and so many countless times. I hate saying this about him but until he proves otherwise that's what it looks like to me.

You got it. The perception is that he can play great for long stretches of a game, but when its late and the game is clearly on the line....he folds. Until he pulls a bunch of games out rather than spitting the bit at a critical point, people are going to keep on ripping him.

I hate saying it about him but the guy does just about everything right except come thru in that clutch moment.

It is a pattern of failure that is getting harder and harder to look past. I am a huge Romo fan but I have nearly had enough.

Why look past it and continuously debate it?

Let's just accept it and hope the guy goes to a sports psychiatrist or something.

That stupid fumble against Seattle had pretty much ruined his overall success.

After the Cowboys beat the Commanders, Eagles, and Lions and are 5-3 at the end of the month, we'll look back on these posts and laugh.

Somebody please tell me I'm right???:)

A Great coach would have opened with a run to settle him in and run the clock to the 2 min warning.

I agree. Romo has a habit of giving you hope and then taking it away in horribly dramatic fashion.

He's a great player and maybe someday hell get the monkey off his back. I'll be watching but I can't expct anything other than what weve seen

Maybe he'll be like John Elway, win his first Super Bowl at age 37, and ride off into the sunset a champion. Honestly, I can see that happening.

If Romo choked what did our defense do? Romo threw a pick but he also has 20+ 4th quarter comebacks for wins and a playoff victory. His time is coming.

He fell prey to the idea that he HAD to MAKE A PLAY. Because no one else on the team would make a play. And in all our big games that is the pattern. NO ONE ELSE STEPS UP.

The defense, like Romo, lived up to their perception.

Exactly. People focus only on the negatives that have happened, but never the positives.

He's a "choker" because there is a prevalence of anti-Cowboys elements in the media, and because they are so good at propaganda due to repetition, it becomes "truth". This is the result of being the most hated team in the league.
