Romo Calls TO the best teamate!

I agree. I wish the guy would just go out and play the game if he did that I think many would show more tolerance for him

Perhaps, but I don't think so.

Some posters here had their mind made up about him before he ever came to Dallas, and have never even tried to change.

They disliked him and didn't want him here so they have picked at everything about him since day one.

No matter what he says or does, some find fault. I can't respect that.

If they would give him credit for what he does good, but call him on what they don't like, I could respect that.

Even now though, this thread is about something good that he did, but still the bashers can't give him credit for that, they still bash.

Everything that was brought up about him during the season, or said about him has fallen by the wayside, .. they have all gone away.

They didn't amount to anything and didn't impact the team at all.

All of the ESPN headlines have died down and are afterthoughts now.

We were 8-4 and leading the East at one time, even though he was said to be a distraction and a cancer and would tear the team apart.

He needs to realize that anyone with a microphone is not his friend.

There are some that will never give up in trying to put the guy down.

I don't even feel that way about other teams players, let alone one of our Cowboys.

Well since TO can't seem to control his mouth chances are we will never find out. By some chance should TO be able to stop the week to week BS then I think you would see more fans willing to show support. JMO

Knute Rockney? Is that you?

They get annoyed by him because of his mouth! Many, Many people would totally gloss over the buttery fingers if he would be quiet and play each week. There really isn't much of a reason to dislike him otherwise. If you can just put a lock on his medicine cabinet, then he is a model citizen outside of his yapper.

You also choose to quietly gloss over the broken hand and the torn tendon. Just thought I would toss those in for you too...

That's cool, I know our opinions are different.

Think back early on though, in the summer, he was getting bashed for pulling his hamstring, he got bashed for wearing a bike shirt before practice and poking fun at himself.

And even now, he befriended Romo, moreso than anyone else according to Romo. We didn't know that though until Romo mentioned it, not Owens himself. He never opened his mouth about this.

Yet still some find fault. Perhaps not you, but some still do. Why is that ?

I don't think that will ever change. I know it won't.

Why mention it? He has dropped footballs wherever he has been. It is well documented, even by your unbiased NFL Network. I don't have a problem with TO on the field (or off the field for that matter), but if he would just shut up most people would come around. Besides, other Cowboys have played through injuries this season, it's part of football.

Owens has a track record of befriending young/backup players that see him as an iconic figure.

We'll see if he still feels that way after next season if he's able to remain the starting quarterback. I recall McNabb having nothing but good things to say about him to, at 1 point.

Wonder how Drew feels about him.

Your right some will never like him no matter what. Myself I will comment on things I find to be distrubing, disruptive or classless. As for him forming a relationship with Romo I think that is a good thing and hope it continues to be the case for his and Romo sake as well as the teams sake. My views on TO is as a player not just a member of this team, I can't say well he is a Cowboy so that makes it right or I'll just overlook that because he wears the star. I don't work that way.

Some of us aren't hypocrits, we bashed TO for running his mouth in SF and Philly and we bash him for running his mouth now. we didn't start defending him just because he became a Cowboy. If TO got cut tomorrow all these guys giving him love today would be bashing him tomorrow.Same with Bledsoe, thought he sucked at Buffalo and didn't start defending him here because he still sucked, others started giving him undue props just because he was a Cowboy and then couldn't wait to bash him once he was benched. I understand it's human nature to defend one of your own but I just don't look at these guys as one of my own, can't help it, if you want to call me a TO hater I'm perfectly fine with that.

I agree 100% with you. I feel the same about TO today as I did when he was in SF and Philly. Right now the only difference I see in TO is the color of the uniform he is wearing

I don't expect everyone to agree with me but I just can't flip flop on things as easy as some. I swear when TO scores a touchdown I don't know wether to clap or throw up. I just can't help feeling this way.

My dislike is not that deep. I cheer for TO and the offense to do well and I want to see TO help the team put up points. It just seem every time I turn around TO is making some dumb ars statement or some other issue comes up and it just ticks me off. If he could just go out and play the game and think before he talks and stop some of his non-sense I could be more accepting of him as a member of this team

His touchdown celebrations stink since he's been here. Just another reason to feel we did not get our money's worth!

That is one area I liked. Other than the 15 yarder he got in the one game, TO toned it down. As a football fan I get excited about touchdowns the rest is not a big deal to me unless it hurts the team.

No humor in football, eh? I personally laughed a ton when he ripped down the "T.O. has B.O." sign when the eagles played the Browns.

I'm hardnosed football, if I want humor I'll turn to the comedy channel and if I want to see dancing I'll watch dancing with the stars. On a team that is still struggling I want 100% commitment to winning and everything that goes with it. If a player want to celebrate that is fine with me as long as he is not hurting the team in the process.

ZZZZZ... The haters just can't stay out of a positive thread. Thus I will continue to make sure I support in the negative ones.

Torn tendons are the same as jammed fingers and sprained ankles..... :lmao2:

Thanks for the laughs Joe Rod.

Would you have laughed if Aikman had done the chicken dance after a QB sneak?
