Without November December doesn't matter.
Oh word?

Why are some of you are getting defensive when people point out that Romo clearly plays better in November. It wasn't meant to be a backhanded compliment, the man has better November stats than Peyton, Brady, Brees, and Rodgers. It's his month.

Let me ask this, if we had a lot less time on the last drive, and Tony was forced to throw down field, do you think the result would have been the same?

Probably not, especially if he had two defenders in his face right up the middle in 1.2 seconds.

November against a 1-6 team and they still needed a game winning drive in the final 2 minutes. Pathetic! Against a mere average team, Romo's INT with 5 minutes to go would have been a game ender and another choke job. This team is going nowhere and yesterday's great game winning drive means nothing. Everyone knows Romo is capable of doing that. He just never does it when he has the chance to with the season on the line. In those situations, he folds and sits alone on the bench with a deer in the headlights stare. Good for him though. He gave his fluffers something to hold onto until his week 17 meltdown to the skins which will keep Dallas out of the playoffs once again.

I am not a Debbie Downer, but, if we had trailed four or six points, we would not have scored the TD.

My friend, the season was on the line yesterday, as Jones and Bryant stated in their interviews. The Cowboys lose that game at home on a day when both Washington and Philadelphia close the gap would have had major implications going forward. The sky would definitely be falling in Dallas this morning...staring 4-6 right in the face. He had a better outing than the guy he will be matched against next Sunday. The last game is Philadelphia at home...

I'll have to ask KJJ, but I think since Fox had Buck/Aikman in the booth, this counts as a "spotlight game."

I'm assuming KJJ is probably still pretty down in the dumps after Romo drove the team for the GWD. May take a bit before you get a response.

I agree. Romo saved their skin with that drive

Perhaps you didn't mean it as a backhanded compliment but 99% of the time it is.

The season was not on the line yesterday. It was not lose and go home until next season. That is when the team and Romo folds and that is why people call him a choker. Game winning drive against a 1-6 team in November, great! Now, do it with the playoffs actually on the line or in the playoffs and us doubters will start to believe Romo and the team are turning the corner.

It was a decent game by Romo. 314 yards on 51 attempts really isn't very good -- it's only 6.1 yards/attempt which is bad enough to get most teams who can't run the ball a loss. I can't blame him for the drops.

Romo hadn't won a game where he passed more 50 times for 8 years so the victory today definitely a challenging one.

All you haters say the only thing that matters is a win with Romo. He wins Sunday and you still poo poo him. The hate is consuming you.

not just that, if another QB had thrown an INT earlier in the 4th but then won the game, NO ONE in the media would mention the INT but of course Dan Patrick on NBC and Chris Myers on NFLN did re Romo.

I don't hate Romo -- I thought he played fine.

I guess you are calling me a hater for indicating 6.1 yards / attempt for a QB will result in a loss -- especially for a non-running team, the vast majority of the time.

Frankly, I don't get you AmberBeer -- you definitely seem to fall into category that ANY criticism of Romo automatically designate someone as a Romo "hater". That's way to binary for me.

Reminds me of ESPN's coverage of our game on SportsCenter last night. They said Dez was targeted 4 times in the first half. Sure enough which highlight did they show? The only incompletion.

Romo had the game winning drive. Not one word about that. Yea, you're a hater who just can't admit if for some reason. You can't pick and choose which games.

because we know that is not what is implied, when people say that it is, he can't win when it counts, he wins in a meaningless month
