I was looking for a link and couldnt locate it but it was played on 105.3 The fan in Dallas. In this legue you arr judged by wins and losses. Which is why Eli and Flacco are considered winners by their peers.

Can we borrow the defenses that won them super bowls please.

I'll add to that. Put me on record as saying that a running back can also put up great numbers and his team still lose the game. Case in point is Adrian Peterson. AP need to understand that its not all about stats. He hasn't learned how to will his team to victory. The Vikings should address the RB position in the draft.

Re Adrian Peterson: And the Liones's Barry Sanders, too, the greatest running back ever.

But a QB is unique. He is a leader on the field. A QB is held to much higher standards because he is the leader of the team.

Notch below elite, which means the only way you could improve is by getting an elite QB.

Sign me up.....just let me know where the next Manning, Brees, Rodgers or Brady is.

Before Garrett became head coach, Tony had a couple of 9-7 years, one 11-5 year and a 13-3 year. The Cowboys went to the playoffs 3 times and won one playoff game. With Garret it's 8-8. 8-8 and 2-2. It's not the QB, its the coach.

If you have a good QB (we do), and a good coach (we don't), you can have success in the NFL.

True on team play but i think what sticks out in peoples minds is the many times that when an important game is on the line a turnover is made or he doesnt deliver.

Not true at all - "Many" what a laugh!

Jerry Jones stated in a recent interview said that a quaterback can have a great passer rating and great stats and still lose the ballgame. This is what he has been criticized for years. To me he is a notch below an elite quaterback and a notch above bus driver. This doesnt make him a bad quaterback but we might need to address this position in the draft.

To Me this is why Garrett is a bad coach. His system. Take it back to the Charger days in the offenses birth. Great offensive teams who didnt put emphasis on defense. Fouts had great skills great numbers but still lost games. Now this defense isnt the same as the Chargers, but to me it just seems that this team main focus is on offense, and whatever they get from the def is a bonus. This is a flawed way running a team from a HC. Its just my assumption but thats how it seems. I have vague memories from them Fouts days but from what i remember its pretty much what you see today with the Cowboys.

The OP is hearing one thing and turning it into something entirely different than it's intent...just to fit an agenda.

I can appreciate that. But if your QB is playing as well as Romo is and it's not translating to consistent victories it doesn't necessarily mean your QB has a leadership problem. You may need to look at other areas of your team that are not producing.

He wasnt calling out Romo when he made the statement. It stating that critics of Rkmo have been saying this about him for years. So he will always have defenders no matter what but until he wins he will always be critcized. I still think we need to draft a QB in the draft which is how Green Bay progressed after Farve left.

Oh nice. The tired old thread about how Romo will always be criticized until "HE" wins....
I live in Maryland and I can tell you that winning isn't the cure for criticism. Flacco won the Super Bowl and already he has a nice group of critics.

The accurate statement is.......once he is no longer an NFL quarterback he won't be as criticized.....(not counting the criticism from the wife..death is the only cure for that)

True, Heck Don Meredith was one of the most popular Cowboys QB after he retired before then fans booed him, Meredith himself said it got to the point that he just did not enjoy the game anylonger.

Five of your last eight Super Bowl winning QBs have accounted for 16 TDs, 21 INTs, and 8 fumbles for a combined record of 2 wins and 10 losses. All three of those QBs have had at least 1 game sealing turnover to cost their team the game.

The pieces around the QB matter unless you are Romo who is supposed to rise above it all.

Not surprisingly the OP completely missed the point from the interview. That happens when you've got an agenda.

Am I missing something here? All he did was state the obvious. A QB can be productive and the team can still lose.

We've seen what Romo can do .. and that's all he can do

Time to move on. Danny White gave us three NFC-CS appearances, and he was run out of town.
