His only argument is eli has a ring and romo has'nt won a big game and the newest fluke he came up with is romo and delhomme are on the same level :lmao2: so please someone post the stats so i can shut him up

Eli is a good QB albeit inconsistent at times. Id say Tony is the same way with the only difference being, Eli has a ring which is afterall what its all about right?

Eli has a Superbowl Ring
Tony doesn't.

/end Romo Eli comparison

Trent Dilfer has a super bowl ring. Dan Fouts does not.

Wait, what were talking about again?

Eli has only one season where he's finished with a QB rating above 77. One.

Romo's lowest QB rating for a season is 91.4.

Unfortunately, its just the way it is. Rings are why the players play the games. I dont think anyone is calling Trent Dilfer a better QB than Romo. Eli however, you could make a case for, especially since we had a more talented team than the Giants the year they won it.

Maybe so but it was the Giants team offense, defense and Special teams that won in the playoffs and the SB. I think Eli is a good QB I take nothing away from him but 53 other players on the Giants got a ring as well.

The fact remains that Eli has a ring and a 4-1 playoff record. Romo is 0-2.

Me, I'd much rather have Romo but until he starts winning in January, you will have to accept what your friend says.

Even though he's statistically better?

(I know, I know, stats don't tell the whole story, blah, blah, blah...)

I Hate The Ring Argument. Just Because A Players Has A Ring Does Not Necessarily Mean They Are A Winner Or A Better Player--it Just Means They Were On A Team That Won The Sb. I'm Very Thankful That Romo Does Not Play For The Giants And Eli Is Not A Cowboy. Would Anyone In Their Right Mond Trade Tony For Eli?

Romo 12,214 yards....90 TDs and 50 INTs

Manning 9,933 yards....67 TDs and 46 INTs

Romo's numbers are in 4 fewer Games. He missed 3 last year and the Giants haven't had their bye yet. Eli's been dang durable though.

Would you prefer your QB to be a fantasy football stud? Or the team to win the SB?

You are correct.

Of course the real point is that he has something other than a 0 as the first number....

I agree that is a cop out for saying I dont wanna compare the 2. There are so many holes in that theory it isnt funny the biggest one being that Dilfer has 1 and guys like Tarkenton and Marino dont.

Eli is 4-3 in the playoffs. 4-0 in 07 and 0-3 in his other 3 attempts including a 42 QB rating last year at home.

One thing I find annoying the same people who say Eli is better then Romo because of Rings, will sit there and tell you Barry was better then Emmitt.

David Carr has a Super Bowl ring and Romo doesn't. Go David Carr !!!

Without a doubt no, I think Romo is the more talented of the two and ultimately I think he'll get his ring (s)

How do you argue that without taking into account how well the defense played?

They carried the team to a Superbowl, not Manning.
