With Romo, we are an average team. We dont have the ability to get up on teams and put them away. It was the exact same way with Quincy Carter running the offense.

At least now, we have alot better FG kicker.

We will win more of the close ones than we lose. We still have a shot at 8-8.

What are you talking about??? Did you see the sloppy mental errors on the offense? Romo threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns and COULD HAVE had three if T.O. big mouth @$$ wouldn't had dropped a sure bomb....

Huh? Can't put a team away? How do you explain the Carolina game? And he DID put the game away today...but the stellar pass was dropped.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting your sarcasm. If so, I apologize.

Its not a knock on Romo.

We dominated Carolina most of the game and we were punting to Steve Smith with a seven point lead half way through the 4th quarter. If he would have had a good return instead of an unforced turnover, that game would have likely come down to a FG.

The Panthers and the Commanders are not great teams. They are average teams. So are we. We will win some of those, and we will lose some of those. It will even out.

This team was very unstable with Bledsoe at the helm. Romo has only proved for two games that he is consistent, smart, confident, and a scorer. The "young guy" thing makes no sense whatsoever. That young guy had nothing to do with this loss today. Every other time that young guy tried to move us down the field stupid penalties by ancy players killed us.

Just so you dont think I am piling on, you should see my post from before the game started. Quincy Carter was the same way. We threw dinks and dumps and slowly moved the ball down the field. With that type of offense, a single pentalty can change the game.

Actually, Romo made some great plays on some long third downs. I think he has something that Quincy didn't.

Just an obversation,
Funny, no one criticized Romo yet, but already, I've seen thread defending him. You guys are quite pro-active :laugh1:
It's not Romo's fault we are 1-2 with games he's played in. We should have started him at the beginning of the season and we'd be 8-0 right now.

The kid is a superstar. :laugh1: :lmao2: :lmao: :laugh2:

We were 3-2 playing at home for first place in the division game. Our only two losses coming against good teams on the road where we had battled back and were a play from tieing the game at the end. Our other games were blowouts against average teams.

We were down by 5 points but had stolen the momentum and were getting the ball to start the 2nd half.

We inserted a QB who had never played in a real game and now we are 4-4 and will most likely finish 1-5 and last place in the division.

We will hear this over and over. When our punter fumbled, it was Bledsoe's fault. We we lose with Romo, he played great.

I agree with everything you said, I hate Romo and was just being sarcastic.

Nice to see that there are other realistic fans around here, now I'm deemed a 'troll' because I predicted we would lose to the foreskins.

I dont hate romo. I just hate the fact that his learning curve has cost us a shot at making the playoffs.

Parcells has now made 2 of the worst 3 decisions I have ever seen a Cowboys coach make. That is saying a lot considering Campo lasted 3 years.

What learning curve? You mean him playing lights out 10 year veteran football in his first 2 starts?

Yea, that really hurt this team.

Roy Williams and T. Owens choked today. They are paid to make game-changing plays and both of them whiffed when their time came.

They are both human, and humans sometimes make mistakes.

But this loss isn't on Romo. Heck, Romo won this game TWICE!

1. He hit the wide open Owens for the game winning TD.
2. He brings the team back in the final seconds for the game winning field goal.

I just can't fathom how you can possibly put any blame on Romo. It totally escapes me. You won't see much better out of most of the veteran QB's in the league than how he's played his first two starts. I don't know what you expect out of a QB but I expect it is no less than absolute perfection. There were a number of plays that would have ended up as sacks/stalled drives had Bledsoe been in. I think most of the football world can acknowledge that.

Romo is the silver lining today.

I think, in order to help take oneself off the ledge, it's very easy to focus on Romo right about now.

Funny....I just looked at your user name. Not even sure why I responded. I'm sure you were screaming that Bledsoe coulda done a better job than his backup back in '01, too.
I've been a vocal critic of Romo in the minds of some. I totally and completely agree with this sentiment Dale. I hate the loss, but for me the silver lining is that once again the QB play was good enough.

Too many penalties, blown assignments, and dropped balls are the culprit today along with some questionable decisions.

I'm proud of Tony Romo's performance today.
