Stats like that show the reason it was a bad decision to put in Romo. There is no doubt that Bledsoe in the second half would have given us the best chance to win last night.

never a good time, dude. last night you saw parcells FINALLY realize bledsoe will NOT get it done, so he changed.

last nights game didn't matter in as much as the decision did. sooner or later we've got to pull the trigger and get through the young player mistakes. if not at 26, when?

now is the time. period. and parcells finally realized it a year or two too late. but at least he did.

It's clear that BP pulled Bledsoe out of frustration. I'll be the first to say Bledsoe makes bad decisions in key moments. We all know that. But I still think it was a bad time to put in a nobody qb. He basically set Romo up for failure. I think Romo failed miserably though, moreso than anyone could have predicted. 3 INTs were fortunate for ROMO last night. There easily could have been 5. That puts him on pace for 6 INTs for the game (and possibly 10).

Romo has been here for 4 years. The argument can easily be made that he's been given the best chance of any QB since Carter to succeed. I doubt he'll ever get a better chance to succeed then now.

Would you rather have "stands tall in pocket"?

No, I would rather (3 years ago when we had Vinny here) that we just bit the bullet and tried to actually develop one of our young QB's. Romo may pan out, but those mistakes were not excusable last night. He has been here 4 years, he was told to BE READY to play last night. That was a much worse performance than Henson put up with two days prep time in his rookie season on Thanksgiving IMHO.
Bring in Brady Quinn he has PEDIGREE AND MOXIE.

Good thinking iceberg.. let's blow the rest of the season just to see if Romo can play or not... Hell, let's also go find some more undrafted QB's and see if they can play! Why not?

You are correct about the OL though.. that is our problem.. too bad it's not as "cool" to talk about the OL as it is the QB position though.

would you rather blow off the season to prove bledsoe can't play? AGAIN?

we know how the bledsoe story will end. we don't know romo's yet. how pray tell would you find out if NOT by playing him?

Leaving Bledsoe in would have been blowing the rest of the season.

I was at the game. We were down by 5.. only 5.. the the decision of the year to put Romo in is made. I wanted to vomit. All the "Romo" chants around me from all the "experts" in the stadium made me sick. But you know what the clencher for me was? What really made me want to puke? After all the chants had died down, and Romo is in the game, trying desperately to save face after falling into his own hype, the majority of the Romo supporters were nowhere to be found. That's right, after all the chanting and all the hope had gone, and even though their star undrafted quarterback was finally in the game, scrambling, passing, making his moves, the Romo Fans had already had enough. They left the game because that was all they wanted to see.... I guess I couldn't say it any better than to just say what I saw. Romo Fans: You got what you wanted, and once you did, you didn't even want it anymore. What a pack of worthless, mindless idiots.

And where was I? The guy who wanted to see Bledsoe finish out the game while we had the momentum going into the second half? Well I was still watching from the stands. Even though we were down and had 0 chance of a comeback in the final minutes, I was there to watch my team, cause that's what real fans do.

And yes, I am here at work early this morning trying to down enough coffee to wake up from 3 hours of sleep so I had every reason to leave early last night as much as anyone.

Sorry Dannyz, but this is gonna sting a little bit...

Please tell us how you determined who was a "Romo" fan, and subsequently left the game, who who was a "Bledsoe" fan, and loyally remained for the entire game?

I think you are dead wrong. I think that the "Bledsoe" fans left the game, and the "Romo" fans stayed the course. That makes the most sense, although there is absolutely no way to know. How can you say that you personally know the hearts and minds of tens of thousands of people, and that they are not real fans of football?

You called them a "pack of worthless, mindless idiots".

And then you boasted of yourself "Where was I?...Still watching from the stands (insert salute to dannyz, here), and already at work and drinking coffee because you stayed up too late and had every reason to leave early..."

Pitiful dude. Pitiful. You claim to be clairvoyant, that only you are a football fan, that you are better than everyone else, that you slugged it out alone and still went to work today. Freaking hero, that's what you are. You need to get Parcells on the phone and tell him that you can play both OT positions... by yourself, baby.

Romo "trying desperately to save face"??? Who wrote that crap?

"I was there to watch my team, cause thats what real fans do..."
LOL.

Its you, dannyz. You are THE MAN.

Anyway, I know you are as disappointed as the rest of us non-fan mindless idiot Romo-loving losers. Its just too bad that you spent company time and asked to be paid for it while you wrote your drivel quoted above.

Oh, but what happened to the "Romo looked so good in preseason -- didn't make a single mistake.. surely if he was no good he would have made at least one mistake".. well, here's the NFL, Romo. You ready? (He said he felt ready in the postgame). And how many mistakes? I couldn't begin to count them all. They bad far outweight the bad.

Will he improve? Man I hope so, but how long will it take? The only good thing is he has no where to go but up.

or maybe 20, or 36, or maybe even 67. Yeah, that's it. Romo would have thrown 67 INT's had he been given more time. Yeah, and Romo failed more than ANYONE could have predicted. Far more. Way far more. MORE. With 67 INT's for the game, that puts him on pace for 1,359 INT's for the season (and possibly 3,677)

Dude I am in agreement with you that he needs to be playing over Bledsoe, but if he is ALL that Bill and everyone on this board have delusions that he is, then last night's performance and careless mistakes are inexcusable. He knew turnovers are what Bill despises, so when he was told to "be ready", that means protect the ball at all costs.

it means "play". yes he made mistakes. he's going to make more. but will he learn from them is what we have to find out.

no other way than playing and that's why i've been mad since vinnie finished out hte last 3 games of a meaningless season. that's hopefully over now - and that makes me very happy because of what that opens up - romo or not.

I'm sure Parcells is going to remind him of that this week. I don't know if Romo will be the man or not but I do know that to judge him strickly on this 1 game is a bit unfair. I think he deserves the heat for throwing the picks that he did and we will see if he can do a better job next week if he is indeed named the starter for the next game. I was not one calling for Romo to play at this point but what is done is done

Pine Needle, it wasn't hard to figure out. But if you must know, the row immediately in front of me were a few of the many "ROMO" chanters during the game, and were a few of the many that left with 4 minutes to go. 4 more minutes they could have watched their hero, Tony Romo. But again, I guess they'd seen enough. Sure I can't tell you how many others there were that did this same pathetic act, but if you were there yourself, you would have heard and seen the mass amount of people chanting for ROMO (including Giants fans -- go figure). And then with 4 minutes to go, I guess getting a good parking spot on Loop 12 and 183 was more exciting than watching Romo anymore.

But yeah, I claim to be the sole true fan... right. Actually I think Romo was the hero last night.. player of the game for sure.. completed a ton of passes and had what 3 total TD passes? Oh wait, some of those were to the guys in blue... I know the Giants sure loved him.

I don't know if you're a real fan or not if you want to be a typical Tuesday Morning QB and say "I told you so"... if you would have preferred to watch this team die a slow death with Bledsoe that's on you. Momentum? Bledsoe sucked all the momentum out of the stadium with yet ANOTHER idiotic int. Something he's known for especially in big games. BLEDSOE IS NOTHING MORE THAN FOOLS GOLD!

I suppose Romos INTs just pumped the momentum back into the stadium???

What happens when the line cant protect Romo and he looks just like Bledsoe???

You guys are arguing over symptoms, the real problem is the Oline. Till thats fixed, we are no more then an 8-8/9-7 team at best. I dont care if we have Peyton Manning back there or Romo or Bledsoe, its all gunna look the same. Against a bottom tier team, we will move the ball, protect and look decent. Against a good team, top tier, we suck and can generate no protection or pass rush. We need new Oline, new defensive Coordinator with a damn backbone and a visious streak a mile wide, someone whos not afraid to turn Ware into a Merriman without the drugs. A new head coach that understands what a pass downfield means, one that will not tell his backs 'just run into the pile in the middle of the field'. I am so sick of passive playcalling, passive defense and no protecting Oline. Sheesh, if we had an Oline, Henson would be looking all world. Imagine what Romo or Bledsoe could look like with adequate protection.

Time to take out the trash and that thrash mainly consists of Parcells, his entire coaching staff and the whole Offensive line unit.

I agree with this. What I don't agree with are the people here who think it is give up time for the season. Call it what you want, "grooming a young qb", "playing for the future", etc.. it is give up. If that is what BP has decided to do then we are done. This season is nothing more than an extra long training camp, and as someone else put it, we have the highest paid rebuilding team in the history of the NFL. What a joke. May as well put in McQuistan, find a place for our bust-draftpick Carpenter, get Skyler green, Rector and Sam Hurd ready to go. It's training camp time!

Bob from BaD Radio just said it best: What other teams are grooming their young qb's right now? Arizona, Tennessee? Who else? Ask yourself what those teams are doing right now. That's right, losing. So here's to losing. Let's all raise our vomit-filled glasses.
