I'm here to hijack this thread. No QB can be successful in this offense except Romo!

Is this the current offense way to Romo friendly? With Romo this team seems to tread water. Without Romo we are drowning. Can a new QB step in and be successful in the current scheme? Time will tell but maybe it's time to build around a quick release QB like Brady or Aikman. I'm ready for the stat that matters.. Winning Super Bowls!

What a team has a offense thats used to maximize the franchise QBs skills? What a concept. Kellen Moore once got comfortable starting since he never really played seemed to run the offense just fine with over 450 yrds in his 3rd start. You people need to stop reading articles and taking it as 100% fact. Maybe just maybe Weeden and Cassell just werent very good. Maybe they just couldnt throw the ball down the field since they never did.

Yes.. I can tell by their unbasic play designs and wrinkles they throw in all the time.

They don't ignore the chess side of football like captain basic does.

You do realize Garrett hasn't called a play since 2013, right?

A few of those games we lost due to bad coaching. Time management, not getting the right number of players on the field, not going for it when we should, and punting when we should have tried for a fg... Garrett is a joke...

Did you see Belichick yesterday? Had two chances to kick field goals with time remaining, and didn't. Totally botched it.

Yeah.. It's the same system though and the system is horrible.

He was horrible running it and now he has another coach specifically brought here to bring balance to it and it's just as bad.

The only thing that can save it is when we can impose our will on the ground and Romo is improvising to make plays through the air.

I do think he is the one behind the run on first down 90% of the time philosophy and he is the one behind all of the bland play concepts.

Not Belichicks best day but he believes in letting Tom Brady make a play on 4th down with the game on the line.

He's done it before and failed as well. Still though, he plays to win and has 4 titles being aggressive.

He has four titles because of Tom Brady. Don't kid yourself.

That same system was the most dynamic offenses in the NFL a year ago. In Cowboys history, in fact.

Denver's offense is awful. Carolina's is as basic as it gets.

It was statistically good.. Nothing dynamic about it.

We still got schooled by horrible teams like the Commanders and RG3 on 1 leg whenever defenses tightened up a little.

When you press our receivers out wide and bring the heat then our only hope is Witten getting open quickly.

Time and time again we saw this offense get exposed that exact same way.

It always came down to Romo improvising and being the hero or him not able to overcome bad scheming and being called a choker.

I don't know if I would call Carolina's offense basic. They run elements of the spread, option, west coach and vertical based attacks. They're probably the most well-rounded offense in the league. They have a good variety of formations and run and pass out of almost all of them, save the single wing which they're probably the only football team in existence still running lol.

He's put together some masterful defensive gameplans over the years. You can't deny him of that.

I think in their case they both wouldn't have nearly the amount of success without the other.

In Garretts case he would just have no success without Romo.

They have a big mobile qb that can make all the throws. That gives them options on any play, but it doesnt mean their offense isnt basic.

Romo wasn't even involved in the game-planning until 2013, when he got the new contract. So basically it is Romo bailing out the offense and the play-caller.

This brain trust did adjust the offense and played totally conservative. Even Cassell was saying after his first game, he wasn't involved in meetings.
