Mike & MIke giving Tony a lil love. Said he is the least of the team's worries and its crazy to blame him for the team being mediocre. Pointed out that last year in losses he threw 17 TD's while only getting picked 3 times. Romo has finally been getting a lil credit for his play with the mediots.

Doubtful, selective hearing.

Chances are if you don't listen to ESPN you not only not hear the small mole hills of positive news...you also don't hear the mountains of negative.

Romo had a very good statistical year. There were times, though, where our offense was throttled by good defenses (and some not so good) and times where we shot ourselves in the foot with dumb penalties. I hope Romo can preform as well as he did last year with the rest of the offense stepping up as well.

He's certainly not the problem on the Cowboys. Anyone who actually watches the team week-in and week-out making that argument is trolling. That being said, there are a couple of games Romo had last year where the team lost but he didn't play out of this world. New Orleans he didn't throw an INT but he was pretty mediocre. San Diego and Chicago he threw 5 TDs and 0 INTs but I don't think he'll be asking for either of those on his career highlight reel.

I won't disagree with this. But what QB does play out of this world every week? Here is what I will say...if the majority of the coaches and players on this roster...performed at the level Romo performs at...we would be in the hunt more often than not. I think Romo is a top 12 QB. Do the coaches coach at a top 12 level? Does the OL perform at at top 12 level? Do the WRs perform at a top 12 level? Do the RBs perform at a top 12 level? Does the DL perform at a top 12 level? Do the LBs perform at a top 12 level? Do the DBs peform at a top 12 level? Is the GM a top 12 GM?

You might not agree with me..but you get the point I am trying to make. The QB is the only football position in Dallas that is performing at good to very good level. If the other positions in this organization were performing at the level he is...this record of futility would not exist. And to be honest...some of the positions in this organization have performed so woefully....the QB is the SOLE reason we have not face planted and gone 3 - 13. He is not perfect...but he has a lot on him...and carrying that much of a burden has taken a physical, mental and emotional toll on him.

He claims we will see the best of him this year. We shall see. To me that means protecting the ball like he did last year, and continuing to provide veteran leadership.

Don't forget the MN game. I could watch that final drive over and over. Classic Romo.

You know i'm one of Tony's biggest fans I do agree with the notion that he's not the SOLE reason the Cowboys are 8-8 and he does get a bad rep but what's annoying is how people also refuse to see that some of those stats are empty. There are some games where Tony's stats look great and he didn't do enough to win or he boosted them up after being down all game.

I always stood by that Tony Romo probably has the toughest job of any player in the NFL. He plays for a team that everyone wants to beat. There will never be a game where the Cowboys beat someone because the other team simply didn't show up. Rarely happens when you're the Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, Knicks, etc.

Romo has to do far more for his team to have success than any other qb in this league and I stand by that but he's also not blameless.

I agree, as long as he is part of the team he shares in the blame. Heck Dez shares in the blame, as does Murray and every other player offense and defense. I have never given Romo sole credit for any win nor will I for this or any other team to win means a lot of guys were doing their jobs and winning their battles

Since the beginning of last year, it seems the media as a whole is starting to slowly come to Romo's side/defense. It's pretty funny seeing that as they're the reason he has had such bad rep.

Yea, makes you wonder what their agenda is. They always have an agenda.
