I like everything he is saying and has said, but I will never understand how a team can just be tougher.

You are tough, or you aren't...or so I thought.

Toughness is most definitely an acquirable trait. It's not something you're born with, it's something you naturally create through adversity.

(unless you're Buehler..phew..)

Ehhh...yea

But the things I'm hearing it sounds like the Cowboys just all of a sudden said "Welp, I think I'll be tough today."

I get where you're coming from. I just hope that they are being real when they say that and not just feeding us fans what we want to hear. I hope that **** has hit the proverbial fan behind closed doors, and people were forced to step up, be tough, and not let things said get to them.

I don't think Romo has gotten better. He's the same player he always was. Garrett is the one who has gotten better. He's putting Romo in position to succeed. He has adjusted his playcalling to make the most of Romo's strengths and minimize Romo's weaknesses. Romo's a great QB, but he needs to be put into position to succeed. Otherwise, he'll lose. Just like any other quarterback.

The 'Romo has gotten better' motif is code for 'we weren't really wrong when we blew an o-ring over nothing during the off season.' This way, we close the gap and all get on the same bandwagon again. One big happy family. Mostly small, loud, dim children.

But, on the bright side, we're finally all getting on the same page that this team is competitive and the season should be enjoyable.

December and January...

You sound like all the guys at ESPN.

Funny how the team sucks and we we wont win more than 8 games and we will be lucky to finish 3rd in the division, blaa, blaa, blaa.....

Then we go on a nice winning streak and are in sole possession of first place at the half way mark and all of a sudden the talkin points become "regualr season wins dont mean anything, only the playoffs matter....so what if Dallas wins the division, dont mean jack".

So winning the division doesnt mean jack now, even though we were picked to be no better than a .500 club at the beginning of the season???

A moose is asleep. He is dreaming of moose drinks.
A goose is asleep. He is dreaming of goose drinks.
That's well and good when a moose dreams of moose juice.
And nothing goes wrong when a goose dreams of goose juice.
But it isn't too good when a moose and a goose
Start dreaming they're drinking the other one's juice.
Moose juice, not goose juice, is juice for a moose.
And goose juice, not moose juice, is juice for a goose.
So, when goose gets a mouthful of juices of mooses
And moose gets a mouthful of juices of gooses
They always fall out of their beds screaming screams
So, I'm warning you, now! Never drink in your dreams.

I don't know when people start thinking football players are celibate. It is usually the polar opposite.

I don't think Romo has changed he has always been a highly competitive guy according to those who know him. I think all that is happening is he is gaining more and more experience. He sees where his mistakes are and continue to work on those things to limit those mistakes.

I also think he is becoming wiser in knowing what to say and not to say with the media who have managed to take simple comments and use them against him. Truth is if the worst thing in your life is you lost a game then life has been pretty damn good to you that does not mean you don't care about winning it is putting defeat in it's proper prospective however Romo also knows what you say can and will be used against you.

Romo is doing great. He's leading, he's doing his best not to committ a bunch of turnovers, he's getting on his O-Line when he needs to. I'm glad to see it.

Man, did I just turn of ESPN? If you naysayers don't see a different Romo this season, you're not watching. Each season is a creature of its own. The TEAM hasn't done well in December & January, & neither has Romo--in recent seasons. THIS season is different. I see an improving D-line, better LB play, especially Brooking, who is an upgrade to , and the secondary is coming along. Sensabaugh has brought better pass coverage, & Mike Jenkins over the last 4-5 games has shown greater toughness & the ball-hawking ability that made him a first-round pick.

The offense, with new playmakers Miles Austin & Kevin Ogletree, is taking on a fun, imaginative look. The running game has been up & down, and there are other areas that need work, but they're making progress.

This team is getting better as the season progresses. Romo feels it, I feel it. They are peaking at the right time, & will KICK BUTT in December & January.

I'm a big Romo fan I don't think he is different just more experianced and with experiance and work I think you improve as a player. I think Romo has always been a hard worker and always looking to improve. As for Dec and Jan I'm really not concerned with that if this team continues to work and look to improve, stays focused then they will give themselfs a good chance in those games. I for one think they are very capable of doing it.

Hammer meet nail.

Just like all of the great QBs before Tony, he is now going through another phase of his maturation process. The more he sees, the more he learns, and the more he learns, the more proficient he will be.

I am amazed but our team is pretty young outside of the OL. Every game we hear that the players have seen something that they did not see in film. Pretty soon, our young pups will be full grown attack dawgs with all of the savvy of a seasoned veteran. When that happens, look out league.

Exactly. There is no substitution for experiance and as Romo gains more and more experiance the better player he can become the key is are you willing to judge yourself honestly and work to improve as a player and by all accounts Romo does just that. Team wise your right we have some young guys playing and learning as they go and the same holds true for them if your willing to put in the work.
