do explain what is moronic about it

a moron calls someone that with out backing it up just to take a shot at someone

your posts in this thread speak for themselves. If you think that indy game or giants game wasnt important in 06, but the playoff game was, then their is my backup.

again why not atleast back up calling me a moron.. until I ask.. kind of weak but whatever

big at the time.. I guess... can't you come up with some bigger wins..

Steeler fans can, Giants fans can, Colts fans can..

all can claim big Playoff wins and superbowls.

and you point to some meaningful at the time regular season wins..

Guess if the Lions win before the season ends they can point to that win as a big win.

yet again in december Romo is giving game away...

I know its the Holiday season but come on

I'm frustrated with Romo. I do not wanna get rid of him, I just want him to play like we've seen him play...like we KNOW he can play.

Go to NFL.com and see if I'm off on this though...did Romo go back to the Tom Brady stand and scan technique?

INT #1 to Polomalu: Romo's standing in the pocket (not much movement) and throws almost flat footed.

INT #2 to Taylor: Romo's standing there, agian, not much movement, again, appears mostly flat footed.

INT #3 to Townsend: Romor drops back, stands, scans, again, appears to be mostly flat footed (not much body movement/hop/etc), throws the Pick6.

Again, maybe I'm seeing what I wanna see and not reading him right but that's waht it looks like to me... when he's Romo he's moving, he's hopping, he's connecting. When he drops back and stands and scans...few good things happen.

Unquestionably, Romo played poorly today--his worst game of the season, by far.

However, in my opinion, this is the only game that Dallas lost due to Romo'a play. When we look at his full body of work, he's won far more games for Dallas than he's lost.

tony romo could not carry troy aikman's jock strap.

tony romo is not worthy to wash troy's car.

There was also a reason he went undrafted.

I bet many of the posters here who are harkening back to Aikman wanted Walsh to be our QB and preferred Beurlein as well (after all Aikman didn't win a playoff game in his first three seasons as our starter).

Like you, I'm baffled by the sheer ferocity of this "pile on" Romo movement.

You've got ~2600 posts on this board, and you're baffled by the embarrassing knee-jerk idiocy of some of the posters here?

I hope they'll learn, but maybe I'm giving them too much credit.

I'm certainly no happy fan and I'm negative when I believe it's warranted, but there's simply no rationale for bashing Romo after one bad performance.

I was hopeful, up 13-3, that I could come on the board tonight and not-so-gently reinforce the notion that it was really silly to have left this beat-up team for dead back when Romo was out, and maybe next time we can all exert a little perspective and self-control. Be a better fan-base. Deserve the organization we root for, etc.

I peeked in tonight just to see if maybe other people enjoyed the game today as much as I did: gut-hurt be feeling pretty good that this team is finally playing contending football again after the Q2 slump. Instead, it's 'replace Romo' and 'fire Jason Garrett.'

I'm actually embarrassed for them. I understand why other fans think Cowboys fans don't deserve yet another Superbowl win. Ugh.

December and January. Romo has had how many BIG games in those time frames in 3 years? Sorry guys but untill he shows me he can get it done big time in the time when it REALLY matters he is on probation with me. He did not play BADLY last year in the playoff game but he did not play WELL either. Same for the Seattle game in 06. December and January- when it really matters- he has NOT COME UP BIG.

Quarterbacks are hard to find. We clearly have a good one, who is basically an all-time great from September-November. The problem is, come when it really matters late in the season, he's no better than average.

The question we face is will that ever change? To me, it's a much bigger risk to dump Romo and try to find someone who offers an improvement than it is to wait Romo out and see what happens.

I love the way Romo plays, but hate his December swoons. I've been colored skeptical since last year's playoff loss and am in the show-me stage at this point. This goes for Romo and the team as a whole. He hasn't shown he deserves the benefit of the doubt this time of year.

So my basic point is I think the criticism is warranted, but I think it's silly to suggest we dump Romo. He's our guy and will continue to be for some time. There have been plenty of quarterbacks that struggled to win big games early, only to develop into all-time greats. And there are others who remained chokers. Romo sill has a lot of time to write his story.

In the end, today's loss doesn't matter any more than the Thanksgiving win in the big picture of his career. He still has time to change the perception. It starts by getting the team into the playoffs.

Ahhhhh Troy has THREE rings...this is not a good comparison.

and Dan Marino has none. Rings dont always equate to greatness. Since Trent Dilfer has a ring hes better then Dan?

In Dallas, though, quarterbacks absolutely are judged by their rings, and their rings alone.

Marino would have never survived here if he produced zero rings while amassing crazy stats. I mean, seriously, morph Marino's career into the Cowboys' history books, and fans his name would be a mere synonym for Danny White.

The Dolphins also had a lukewarm defense when Marino was there, FWIW.

No doubt. And he never had much of a running back from what I recall.

I'm just saying his career would basically be spit at by fans here if he quarterbacked the Cowboys for as long as he did Miami, producing the stats he did, without winning any rings. Doesn't make it right.

And do not compare him to Marino.....at least Marino made a Super Bowl.

If Marino had this team we would be 12-1....the guy never had the type of talent Romo is surrounded with.

Riddle me this: Romo has played 10 games this season. Of those games, how many have actually been lost by his play?

I count one.

Now, how many have been won by his play?
How many victories has he had in the months of Dec and Jan? I 'll tell you he's 4-8 with 12 Tds and 17 ints. So I ask you, what difference does it make when he can win you all those games but when its crunch time he crumbles like blue cheese? I'm a Romo fan but please stop defending him when once again he lays an egg in a big game.
