The haters will scatter and hide under the rocks. When Romo whens a championship you better believe we will remember who the haters were.

Well, that goes both ways. If he never wins a SB, it is us Romo supporters that will get all the "i told you so".

Here's my question who those who overrate Romo as a choker, won't ever win anything. Who is Dallas better with at the helm this year. Tony Romo or Kyle Orton? (Or Kevin Kolb or Ryan Fitzpatrick or EJ Manuel...)

I guarantee you, quoting couchscout, that there are probably 25ish other teams that would take Romo over their starting QB if money wasn't an issue. Scouts and GM's know what Romo brings to the table. If you're down two in the NBA Finals and you miss the three, do you get blamed for it? Or does surrendering 20 offensive rebounds sort of make one of the reasons why you lost the game?

Name a QB that could come and win games with the way the defense oline and running games has played in the last few years. I don't think it matters what QB you bring in with the way the Cowboys have played in the last few years.

Yea, but they'll be wrong. It's a team game. Romo's a good enough QB to lead a good team to the Super Bowl. I know that so it's all good.

No, I will be running around my neighborhood screaming like a mad man that Dallas is #1 and everyone can suck it! You couldn't be more wrong man. Also, I'm not a hater. Just a critic.

I have said on this forum before that Romo would not win a Superbowl in Dallas, but that really had nothing to do with Romo. The overall talent just has not been there since 2007. On the flip side, I do like the drafts that they have had in recent seasons and it seems like they have a real plan in place on how they are building the team. It has been slowly getting better, but I'm still not quite sure if those potential weak spots will turn out until they put on pads in a few weeks.

I would be totally fine with being wrong.

You can't achieve individual stats without the team. The same team that keeps Romo and the Cowboys down is the same team that helps him achieve his impressive stats.

That's true, but a player's individual talent also plays a huge part in that equation. Do you think Mark Sanchez would have compiled the same huge numbers in Indianapolis that Payton Manning did? One of the most interesting things to me in all this has always been the sudden positive transformation of the Dallas OL and the passing game in general when Romo took over for Bledsoe.

The one stat by which NFL QB's are judged most is wins, especially in the playoffs, and winning has a heck of a lot to do with things like defense and special teams that don't affect a quarterback's statistical numbers nearly as much.

Yep. Don't disagree with any of that...I prefer with sports analysts and fans alike use both wins and stats in an intelligent way to paint a clearer picture over just using one or the other.

And if he doesn't, are you going to admit you were wrong, and that Romo was never the answer? I didn't think so.

I have a rock, Clove. It appears to be an ordinary rock, but this rock is special. If you keep it by your bed at night, it prevents lions from mauling you in your sleep!

"That's silly," one might say. "How could a rock keep lions away?"

Well, I don't see any lions around, do you?

How much will you pay me for my lion rock? Your specious reasoning and inability to grasp elementary logic tells me you'll pay top-dollar for it.

We all know, just as soon as Romo leads us to some playoff wins, EVERY one of the haters will be like, I knew he could do it

What would happen would be that Romo's numbers and play will be similar to how it's always been, but they'll chose to believe it's different for some unmeasurable reason like his leadership or his performance in the clutch (well, that's already measurable, but this time they'll interpret that data properly). And the conclusion will be that his play actually did improve.

But, at the end of the day, will it really matter? What's important is that we've got good QB play right now, and we're working to improve the parts of the team that have actually gotten us beat against good teams in recent seasons. That's all I really care about. The credit and the postseason success will come if the actual deficiencies get addressed.

That would be a typical bandwagon move.

Has nothing to do about admitting anything. Romo has the talent to lead a good team to a Super Bowl regardless of whether it happens or not.
