Romo heading up workouts

Happens when you make stupid comments like Romo cares more about Golf than Football.

I doubt Bennett is anywhere near these workouts.

I could see after all the labor issues are resolved and they start "official" training, Bennett comes in and sees he is moved down to the 3rd TE spot, and ask what happened. Romo comes up to him and says, "Hey man, we had open competition at every spot during our player workouts, but since you weren't here, we had to drop you down."

No I am not. You may think I am, but I know what I see. If you go back and look at some of my posts, you will see that i praised romo, when some of you were killing him during games, like first game of season against giants in cowboys stadium. I praised romo when he said, no we need to correct errors on the field not wait to fix them the next day or in film study because you develop bad habits that way.

The team always has to have one leader, that first leader is the head coach, if not the head coach like switzer wasnt then the players, but it ulitmately starts with the QB of your team being the leader on and off the field. Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman did this. I an not the ones, and at no time have i ever said like some have posted on here, that some players on the team disrespects romo or whatever.

Just like you were wrong, when you said only 3 people were against romo or whatever. I showed you in a post at least 3-4more people, so you were wrong on that.

The team and you should know this, has to believe in the QB of that team. Do you remember when Mel Tom, I believe stomped on roger staubachs pinkie finger, the whole team started onto the field for a fight fromthe sidelines.

And i was saying about attitude and heart that the team doesnt have it deep enough yet, especially some of the players. Did jenkins have heart when he wouldnt come in and tackle last year and his first year?

Again, your missing the whole point, its the perception, attitude, desire of the whole team that good ole wade wrecked, that everything is ok, dont worry. We heard that in 2008, a fiscal year, and in 2010, same thing, dont worry during training camp. How many of you told me i was wrong, that you could turn it on like a switch, dont worry.

You cant, takes hard work, desire, intensity. Now, the players have attitude, desire, intensity, but your missing my point, they dont know how deep down they need to go.

Jason Garrett is gonna show them that, just like jimmy johnson did. Then, better leadership, knowing what to do, what it takes, will further develop leaders like witten, ware, romo,, newman, bradie.

Just like players said a few years ago and got all hot and heavy, when camp was called camp cupcake and marshmellow. Players said, we work hard, you have no idea. Oh really, in shorts most of the time, and only 3 days of full pads in 5 weeks of training camp. Nate Newton laughed when he was told players worked hard and newton replied you have no idea what hard work is. But they will find out under jason garrett. Its the whole mess that wade left,

Just like the person said above, my post is actually not an indictment of romo, or witten or wade, its what was instilled in those players by wade as a soft coach and allowed.

true, this is a new team and new direction, and jason garrett has to be the guy that carries the big stick and he will. That is what is actually needed for this team. Again, when your star defender, and you cant deny this no matter how you try to color it, but shows the whole attitude and perception of the team in everything they did from playing, to workouts, to film study, to practices etc... When you star defender that just got his butt beat 7 games and had other teams laughing at them, while saying all you have to do is hit them in the mouth and they will back up, your star defender when he sees what jason garrett wrote on bulletin board in big red letters, oh man do we have to do that. Instead he should have said, we need to do this, im just as much fault as the other guys for allownig this to happen and not making players accoutable, etc...

Again, thats, lack of attitude, intensity, heart, when you say, oh man do we have to do this, when you have your dallas cowboy fans being laughed at by other teams fans, wearing sacks over their heads at balll games, etc... Can you deny that zrinkill? Oh, i guess it never happened, it will be ok, dont worry, you can turn it on like a switch like some of you tried to tell me, how did that switch thing work out for you?

Thats what im pointing too, the players dont realize what it acutally takes to be champions and what you have to do in all aspects of football.

I am sorry if i have offended you or anyone else, its just what i see from this soft team to their approach on football matters. But again, thats gonna be all i am going to say on this, i want to get ready for the draft and wait and see what jason garrett is going to do. Jason will fix this in time.

Solid post right here, but some will respond with sophmoric humor because the have nothing else to add.

Joe, I didn't necessarily agree with you the other night, but I respect your posts. You're a great contributor to the board.

Never take anything on here personally.

You're a great Cowboy fan.

I doubt they help much at all. If very much of training camp is missed, the players will still be extremely rusty IMO.

But again, everyone will be, so it won't really matter.

It will help only from the standpoint of staying in shape and team unity. It's not really going to help in terms of working on theoffensive or defensive schemes.

clearly, it is a disaster waiting to happen.

Me? I'd rather have rusty players than limping players.

You think they are going to be working out in full pads?

These wont be heavy workouts and their wont be hitting.

That being said, one cut on a bad divot in the grass and someone's season is over before it began.

It sucks, but you know it's gonna happen to someone on some team.
