As far as a death penalty, if thats a jury's decision, and he drops all appeals he could be toast in about five years. However.....any lawyer can step in and file appeals on his behalf without his consent. They want the money. He will have to write a letter to the USSC and the governor to halt all appeals on his behalf .......which he may or may not do. Some DR inmates had to sue lawyers to stop the apppeals.
