Romo: I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Drew

LOL

got that right!

Drew's horrible performance on the field led directly to Romo starting.

And what's up with Bledsoe wearing that coat on the sideline?

was it REALLY THAT cold???

I think he is so ashamed of himself, the coat just gave him an excuse to hide.

Instead of a star on the back of that jacket, it should have a big "L" for Loser...that's the way he is behaving now.

I don't think he is sincere in wanting to help Tony based on what I have seen on the sidelines.

What do u guys think?

I think Romo shows some class by saying that. This post however shows none. I'm sure it's a tough pill to swallow being demoted but he is sucking it up for the betterment of the team.

Whatever people think about Bledsoe IMO he should be commended for taking the high road regardless of if you feel it is heart felt or not.

I think any bashing of Bledsoe for anything beyond his performance is just silly. One could easily turn that right back on Romo who was seen smiling and chatting it up with T.O. on the sideline while the Cowboys were getting the crap beat out of them, partly due to Bledsoe's performance. It would be easy to say he was a little slimmy to be slinking around in the background constantly talking to T.O., being a politician for his future cause, but to suggest that would be small and unfair.

To say anything negative about Bledsoe is equally small...I take Tony at his word that Bledsoe has treated him fairly and helped him over the past two years, even if it wasn't in the midst of his own misery on that Monday night he was benched...to expect more of a competitor is equally silly. Try benching Roy Williams the next time he has a coverage meltdown and see if he's standing on the sidelines giving advice to the kid who takes his place.

I think Bledsoe will be fine...no, I don't think he had that coat on to hide...he's the only player on the entire sideline who's never going to step on the field unless there's an injury...Romo is now the man...hopefully he gives us plenty more of what we saw on Sunday...hopefully people will be fair to him when he has his first bad game, and he will...they all do...it's time to stop looking for things to attack and in this situation...they're both professionals.

That's a pretty fair take on the situation IMO.

WEARING A WINTER HOODED JACKET ON THE SIDELINES when it wasn't even cold..heck..not even OLD MAN PARCELLS was wearing a jacket!!!!

AND POUTING AND NOT SMILING when the guy that has replaced him, his own teammate Tony Romo, is playing so well IN HIS FIRST START!

Face it!
Bledsoe is just going through the motions beacuse he was told to.

He gives a rats bottom ABOUT ANY SUCESS THIS TEAM HAS WITHOUT HIM AS QUARTERBACK!

You call that the high road???

He is a selfish, immature, momma's boy!

wahhhhhhhhhhh!

Drew is just disgusted in being passed over for the 3rd time and reality hits many very hard, he just doesn't appear to be capable emotionally to help Romo, you can see the scowl on his face when Romo tries to talk to him on the sidelines. It's a hard hard pill to swallow for many prideful men, like this bet welcher I know, but that's another story and another thread...

What 1st overall pick and 14 year vet QB wants to be standing on the sidelines while his replacement is playing the game?

Geez...people act like a guy should be full of joy.

However he was there and knows his role.

He does not have to be full of joy, but he does not have to be a pain and cause trouble.

So far he has said the right thing and in doing so preventing trouble and that is good enough IMO.

..very middle of the road answer. I agree here though. Nicely said.

I think Drew was wearing the jacket to try and stay "warmed-up", in case he needed to go in. I saw him talking to Romo, seemed like he was doing as you would expect a 14 year vet. to do. Of course Drew didn't want to stay in Buffalo and groom a QB, he wanted to START! Plus, it's not like Buffalo was going to pay his huge $ to be the back up....just like Dallas isn't gonna pay that huge $ next season to him if Tony works out.

I was all for the change at QB, at least to see if Romo was the answer. I still believe Drew could play if we had a SOLID line.

I think Drew will be the next "Jeff George" cannon for a arm QB just looking for a place to fill in......thats my thoughts..
