Romo INT, something strange...

about it.

They didn't really do replays of that INT but something looked odd about it...Two WRs running the same route and thereby allowing the safety to drift right over for the easy INT??...Someone didn't run the right route?

Romo looked upset but couldn't tell if it was just because of the INT or the poor route run...Or, really, for that matter why neither receiver even appeared like they were going for the ball.

Anyone have any insight on that play...It looked odd

I thought that was very strange. No replays or any explaination just straight to commercials and Ram ball 1st and ten. Very frustrating.

I said the same thing at the sports bar. Either it was a stupid play call to have two WR running down the left sideline drawing all the coverage to that side or some one ran the wrong route. Either way, Romo should have seen it and not made the pass. But who really cares when you win. ;)

Very weird play. None of the shows are even talking about it. Romo must have mind control powers :D

I wondered the same thing, why both guys would be running alongside each other on the route. Who knows though.

Sorry this thread doesn't hold to your high moral standards.

OT- I didn't see the play so i'm curious as well. Shows you how good Romo is to make a bad play and no one is even talking about it

Yeah, it's obviously nothing earth shattering but it was an odd play and I was curious about it...I'm guessing it had to be a botched route by either T.O. or Crayton (Guessing T.O.) but even the lack of effort to for the ball seemed odd...Strange play

Something was definitely wrong with that play as 2 receivers should never be running the same route next to each other unless they are being used as a decoy.

INTs happen, I don't think it was a stupid throw, especially if you didn't expect that other recevier to be over there.

It almost seemed like one should have been coming back for the ball but neither actually did. It was just an ugly play all around.

I didn't think it was a stupid throw, I thought the 2 WRs seemed strange and the fact that it didn't look like either one of them made a play for the ball...Almost seemed surprised to see the ball come their way.

I don't know if it was a botched play. Go back and look at the Miami game and the TD on 4th and 4 to TO.

I believe in that game TO and Crayton were also running the same route. The only difference was that Romo passed it to the outside guy (TO). In this game, he passed it to the inside guy where the safety was able to pick it off. And of course, the spacing was a little off in today's game. That was probably the key difference.

I played it back multiple times on the DVR.

TO was the inside WR who never made an attempt on the ball.

Looked as if he may have turned his head late and didnt have enough time to react and hit the breaks to make a play.

It came out after the game that TO was supposed to break that route off short, but that Tony and him had noticed them sitting on it all day and worked out a little something before the play. So, no, that play was not designed to have two guys running side by side up the sideline. :D

Maybe today's play was also not designed to have two guys running side by side up the sideline, and they changed the route again. And there was miscommunication between TO and Romo.
