Romo interview

Seriously, are you drinking with Jerry now?

Those quotes I referenced in the last post are your quotes, not mine.

One minute your saying:

“I never said I was quoting the doctor”

The next minute you are saying:

“I’m only telling you what the doctor’s words say”

So yes, you have been telling me what the doctor said and what he meant.

And again, keep talking about players retiring, but guess what? The diagnosis of the spine-doctor was right, bringing us back to you just digging yourself into a hole with possibilities that didn’t happen, meaning more of your nonsensical arguing for the same if arguing.

lol - if I'm drinking, you are on crack. Again, I didn't say the doctor's diagnosis wasn't correct. I said that his diagnosis didn't indicate that age wasn't or couldn't have been a contributing factor. I never said Romo couldn't play again or throw again, although like with the doctor's diagnosis you are reading things into the words that aren't there.

Hell, go back to where I first responded to you. I specifically said that I agree that the injury didn't prohibit Romo from playing again. I only said that it was reasonable for the team to be concerned about Romo getting injured so many times in a matter of around 14 months, and only 5-6 games.

So you have or have not read what the doctor said? I’m still waiting for you to make up your mind on that one...

And once you answer that, can you tell me if Romo got surgery for his injury and whether or not he returned to the practice field in around the same time-frame the doctor said he would, if you actually did read what the doctor said or even if you are going by what I said the doctor said?

So you have or have not read what the doctor said? I’m still waiting for you to make up your mind on that one...

I've read what you claimed the doctor said. If you are misrepresenting what he said, that's on you.

I've read what you claimed the doctor said. If you are misrepresenting what he said, that's on you.

So you are doing it based on what I said.. so what did I say about what he meant by ‘textbook football trauma’, since you are now going by what I said he said..

Also, wouldn’t it be absurd that you would tell me what the doctor meant by something he said, based on what I quoted he said he meant?

He could walk out on the field in two days and outplay Dak with his eyes closed.

But he might not walk off the field.

That's the problem.

lol -I get a giggle every time you scramble for an answer. I've never said I was quoting the doctor directly, and have specifically and clearly said previously I'm am going by what you claim the doctors have said. But here you are pretending I am telling you something I haven't said before so you can pretend your response makes sense.

And I've specifically said I wasn't telling you what the doctor meant, I'm just telling you what the words you attributed to the doctor mean. It's not getting into anyone's mind, it's just reading and understanding words as they are written. I'm not reading anything more into the words than what the words say, however you are claiming the words say something they do not.

The numbers Romo would have put up in 2016 would be amazing.

I imagine that had Romo been healthy in 2016 his numbers would have been very similar to what they were in 2014, which was moderate yardage totals, but highly efficient and effective with an outstanding QB rating.

Room is a 10 to Dak 6, imo.

But Romo without a TE and without wideouts, he would not be happy.

With Zeke? Oh my word. That offense would have been devastating.

Can you imagine that offense with this defense?
Yes, I imagine it would have been highly efficient like 2014 and 2016.

Except it wouldn't have stalled like it did in 2016 toward the end of the season. And don't give me Green Bay, which was missing all 4 starters in the secondary and two linebackers, and trailed Atlanta 31-0 early in the 2nd quarter the next week.

I don't think he wants to return to Dallas...

If he were to come back onto the field, it'll be a team sitting around 7-1 who losses their QB for the season.

Yep. Make believe. Amazing thing to write your own story.

That's kind of exactly what happened. Look it up.
Sure. Where can I look up the 2016 result that wouldn't have stalled with Romo? I'd like to actually see what that looks like for once. I watched from 2006 - 2015 and didn't find an example.

Romo may have done better, but let's not act as if the 2016 offense let us down. Toward the end of the 2016 season the Cowboys offense was slowed in games 13 & 14 against 2 of the better defenses in the NFL, but put up 27 and 31 in the games immediately before that, and 26 and 42 in the games immediately after that, so it was a 2 game thing, not a end of the season drop off. I'm not counting week 17 because the Cowboys sat key starters all or most of the game.

As for the Green Bay game, the offense put up 31, so while there were some mistakes, it was really more a problem with the defense that caused that loss. And don't sneeze at Atlanta's offensive output in their game against GB - they had the top offense in the NFL that season, and ended up in the Super Bowl.

In 2008 --- Romo stood on the podium and said if losing was the worst thing that ever happened he led a pretty good life. He was young. He got raked over the coals for it. It has also said that he spent way too much time on the podium to answer all the questions trying to give the same cliche answers before finally blurting this out.

Tony Romo on A Football Life --- "Some people are like "How do you feel you didn't have a Super Bowl or you didn't have this or you didn't have...are you kidding I'm the luckiest guy who's ever walked. That's how I feel."

The dude was alright with not winning. I want a QB who is not alright with losing.

God, I miss Troy Aikman. That Tony Romo "aww shucks" mentality as a leader was never going to lead this team to a title.
