Romo interview

I was just saying to my buddy it wouldn’t surprise me to see JJ let this season crash and he calls up Romo and Dez after the season and says you guys got 2 year contracts let’s roll, snag a TE in FA and draft a QB in RD 1 let him sit behind Romo for 2 years and go after a ring while EzE is still cheap. I would be all for it with or without JG. It’s obvious Romo made this offense tick with JG regadless of what was called.

If he told CBS that he wanted to play and they legitimately thought he could they'd probably be thrilled. They'd know it was relatively short term and that if he won a Superbowl it would be even better for their ratings when he came back to the booth.

Tony would be welcomed back as soon as he retired from Football again. His rating are so good they’d be foolish not to take him back or allow him one last shot. It’s the type of story they would crave.

Case Keenum got hit like that when the Rams played the Giants in London that same year. Popped right up.
It's called having numerous steroid injections to the lumbar spine, which overtime weakened his bone density and made him more prone to sustaining fractures. He sacrificed his body to stay on the field for the team and he paid the price physically.

As I recall Romo took that hit and kept playing. :)

I’d only want him to play if he had medical clearance. There’s always risk with great reward.
He's finished. Get over it.

Better yet? Ok, have it your way. Guarantee he wouldn't last through a 4+ sack game.

I agree. Hopefully others will read this and quit thinking the man had become a model of health that was no more at risk of injury than any other player, like Case Keenum.

Yeah, he took that hit in 2012, prior to his back injuries. Look at this play from a Tony Romo heart video. This was in the 3rd quarter of the 2014 playoff game. Romo had a major back injury that was always going to cause him problems. He had to stand on flights to prevent his back from tightening up. The dudes back was shot.

Thankfully Romo was able to finish this game and attempt a comeback, but this throw down wasn't hard and look what occurred. He could barely get up. It is 7:35 into the video.
