For those who believe he is going to be a career backup, or nothing more than a bus driver please dont ruin on this thread.

I feel like he has the ability to be an Elite QB, Im not talking Hasselbeck, or Bulger elite. Im talking Brady, Big Bro Manning elite.

I mean what exactly is his weakness?

Not a super arm
and impulse throws

really can you think of anything else? i cant.

Remember Tom Brady turned the ball over once every 27 throws his first year.

Romo showed during the Carolina game that he can keep mistakes to a minimum.

During his first start Romo turned the ball over once every 36 throws. Im not counting the Giants game, because its not the situation his is going to be in ever again IMO. It was a unique situation.

If he can keep the turnovers to a minimum he will be special, i guarantee you:D

Did you know Tom Brady was sacked once every 10 pass attempts his first year?

So far Romo once every 15 throws

I believe ROMO has a very STRON arm......he makes all the throws...what am I missing?

Yes, I agree with you......ROMO is special.....what ROMO mostly has is the 'IT' factor!

I hope he has another good showing against Wash. We need to take it one game at a time, but I have to admit, Romo made some awesome plays against Carolina. That 3rd and 12 strike to Witten made me feel better about the QB position than I have in a long time.

Obviously Romo can't do it by himself, but with the team he has around him, no way this kid can fail. Atleast I hope he doesn't - I'm pulling for him, if he goes 2 to 3 more games playing like last Sunday night, I'm going to have to find me a Romo jersey. :)

 Wow...
Don't get me wrong... I would truly be thrilled if that turned out to be true.

But let's reel it in guys.
He's started 1 game! 1 game! lol

I'm hoping Romo is the real deal... but I'm not eating the cheese just yet.
I'm cautiously nibbling tho...

I HEAR YOU! And I have to say I so sick of the na-sayers. Lets not put him in Canton. It's only one game. Parcells can say it, because he has to.
The rest of you guys are killing me. You are the same people who said he can't take over this year because he hadn't throw a pass in the regular season.
Listen, it's very simple. Go back and look at every minute of film on this guy. Preseason through Sunday Night. You will see "it" because he has "it". The film don't lie. I've been singing his praises since his preseason start. Been calling for him to replace Bledsoe since week 5. Romo has everything you want in QB. I predict he will have an outstanding career here in Dallas.

Can't believe I didn't see this thread before... It's so similar to the I Told You So thread now being shredded.

I can't believe I didn't see it on the game film. Must have been an ebay commercial I missed. Or did we have a clown running the offense??

It's so clear he has "it...":lmao:

His deep outs are average. Troy Aikman was master of those, and it's why he didn't need to be mobile or run sprints. Aikman was perfect for running Gibbs/Zampese's timing offense.

Romo probably needs to sprint to the sidelines (ala Walsh's WCO) before throwing an out pattern, but this restricts his ability to attack the whole field.

Yeah - he doesn't necessarily have a noodle arm, but anyone who thinks it's a rocket is crazy. His outs and sideline hitches don't have a very good zip to them. This isn't a huge deal - as long as you have your timing down and the WR is open. But I am willing to bet that, considering our offense's tendency to favor these routes and film on Romo, we are going to see at least one pick, possibly taken to the house, this season on this pattern.

Romo's arm reminds me a lot of Penningtons.

Romo has a stronger arm than Pennington. If you dont believe me go d/l some of Jets games. He has probably the weakest arm in the NFL

Downloading a Jets game doesn't tell me about Romo's arm. He doesn't get good velocity on his outs and hitches. Even if it is stronger than Pennington's, it probably isn't by much.

I have seen a bunch of Pennington's games and I dont think I ever saw him throw a pass like Romo did when he hit Witten over the middle after sidestepping the pressure. He really zinged it in there.

Romo put the ball on the money to Terry Glenn from the opposite hash on an out pattern. Yeah its one throw but it showed he can make that pass. Not sure why someone attacked his out pattern to be gin with. Watch the replay.
