Now that Tony Romo has passed the 1500-attempts mark his stats are "official" and he is "officially" the 3rd highest rated QB in NFL history!

Only Steve Young (96.8) and Peyton Manning (95.4) have higher career passer ratings than Romo's 94.7. A couple more good games like the last 2 and he could move past Manning again (he was ahead of him early last year).

Romo also set a Cowboys' record yesterday with his 19th 300+-yard passing game. In only his 45th start, he has 19 300-yard games!

Man am I ever glad he is our QB! :starspin

Amen brother!

I actually had a post about this yesterday but it kinda got lost in the shuffle so I'm glad you started another one. Romo certainly deserves some praise this week. His numbers in this past game and all-time are no joke. Any Cowboys fan that doesn't appreciate how good this guy is really needs to to get his head out of his/her you-know-what.

Keep it going Tony!

Cowboys and Yankees win!
Giants lose!
I'm still on a high!

I'm sorry, I was gone all day yesterday and didn't see your post.

Still, I guess this kind of thing cannot be pointed out often enough. People need to realize that we have a great QB in Tony Romo.

Thanks for reminding everybody what a great QB we have and how lucky we are to have him. I believe in crediting/blaming Romo for his success or failure, but not the entire team's success or failure, but games like yesterday remind us how important he is to our fate. When he got that stinger and Kitna started warming up... no offense against Kitna, but I just wasn't confident at that point.

I was SO relieved when Romo came back for the next series. WHEW!!!

That play he made on the TD pass to Crayton was amazing! If he doesn't make that play we likely settle for a FG on that drive and we would have only been up by 6 instead of 10.

I think Tony is finally feeling comfortable with being more careful with the ball and still making plays. He is running more often this season than he did the last 2 years and that is helping him to cut down on his high risk passes.

His passes also are more accurate the last couple of games. I'm not sure what was going on with him early in the season but he seems to have gotten over it and is looking good now.

I am excited that he has found a go-to WR in Miles Austin. I don't know why Roy Williams hasn't been that guy for him but Austin certainly has been the last couple of games.

I can't wait for next week against the Seahawks!

If I remember correctly, we didn't have TO. So if Falcons sacks Tony, we will end with 0 points.

You are correct that was all or nothing and by all rights Romo should have been sacked but did a great job of keeping the play alive and then finding the open man. Hell of a play on Romo part.

Great game by Romo yesterday. I hope he can build on this success. Man, did he ever take a shot in that first qtr. I thought for sure Kitna would have to finish the game. One thing about Romo. The guy is tough. I also think that it showed a lot to his teammates that he can take a big hit, get up and get back to playing.

Great effort and teamplay by Dallas. I am gonna enjoy this one.:)

Congrats to Romo again.

The only problem with your assement is that Peyton is still playing. He's putting up amazing numbers. Also QB rating is such a garbage stat.

Disagree...it is an imperfect stat. No stat tells the whole story. But I think generally most would agree that they want their QB to have a high completion %, throw for lots of yards, throw TDs and not throw INTs.

Perfect no, but serviceable.

Sorry, but not a garbage stat. It awards TD's, YPA and completion percentage while taking away for INt's .

How is that garbage?

Na. The QB position is defined by winning big games. Coming up big in key situations and winning with high pressure. The stats are irrelevant especially if you consider the amount of QB in the HoF with a QB rating under 80 or something along those lines.

Like Aikman was saying yesterday. The only reason the Cowboys are having any do or die games is because we have Tony Romo!

The plays that Romo made yesterday are plays that only the top 7 or 8 QB's can make and some of them only he can make. He constanly has to move in the pocket because our T cannot protect the edge.

The guy is a GREAT QB. Go find a team with a bad QB so you can complain!
