So you're saying he's Bledsoe, just younger?Aikbach;1111862 said:Romo was hot off the bench as backups tend to be sometimes. If he is gameplanned against he will throw another three picks.

I'm not in the bandwagon yet. More like hanging on to the bottom of it, a la Harrison Ford in Raiders of the Lost Ark.DallasDomination;1111396 said:What I seen today was a young man with an AMAZING UPSIDE!...This guy can flat out play. His very first time steping on teh field for a full half and he delivered much needed hope.
His INts were just him trying to make a play. His gun slinger mentality. Those mistakes will bve corrected shortly, trust me...What he showerd us was a mobile QB that can make plays with his feet, Arm and Head...PLus he showed great leadership..
And maybe the biggest thing of all...He allows this offense to function the way it should be... T.O, Witten, Terry, Crayton, Barber, Julius, Oline...
I'm am in th bandwagon..
Goodbye Bledsoe.
We can win 3 games after this..If Romo continues to get better I'll take it.

Crayton was in all honestly, probably no higher than 3rd read for Romo on htat TD. Probably a 4th. Romo dropped back, made that read extremely fast, and put it up there

The same kind of thing that I said to Troy Hambrick racking up the yards as Emmitt's backup: "Hmm, interesting. Wonder if he can do that on a consistent basis (without the 3 ints of course) and with a team game-planning for him. Kinda reminds me of when Kevin Sweeney was being hailed as a potential saviour...."Bleu Star;1111943 said:What do you say to 269 yards passing in 2 quarters? There has to be something positive to be said about that? Everyone is so quick to focus on the negatives. How about letting the guy get some timing with the 1st team?

We consistently moved the ball with him behind center. That, I liked.
Now, with that said, we did all that with a guy that the defense wasn't preparing for. Will he even show those positives against a team that is preparing for his tendencies?
Obviously, the huge negative is the improvisation, as Parcells said. Occasionally, he hits on those plays. Hence the "backyard magic" comment. But when he doesn't, boy oh boy.
I love his ability to make things happen that aren't there (from what he's shown in limited, limited action). Can he harness that ability though and cut out the mistakes without completely removing his ability to make plays that aren't necessarily there?

Or he might keep throwing the dumbest INTs in the universe.
After tonight, we really don't know which. But we're gonna find out.

acheman;1112393 said:He's been here for 4 years. He was told to "BE READY". He knew he was going into the game. If he is the future, then it doesn't look any brighter than the recent past. Bring on Brady Quinn.

It cuts both ways. Only difference being Big Bill believes in Romo and will stick with him, because he was a gem Bill found, not Jerry.
