He wasn't making any worse decisions than Bledslow and this was his first game. Nothing but upside. We know what we have in Bledslow. He isn't taking us anywhere in January.

Upside is a nice buzzword to throw around, but for all you know last nights Romo was the only Romo you will ever see.

Bledsoe may not takes us anywhere in January but right now Romo wont be taking us anywhere in October, November or december

How can you predict this from just 2 quarters of play from a QB that was tossed in w/o the benefit of having 1st team reps (or the majority of the reps period) all week?

The only thing I see is the big 8-8 staring me dead inthe face with DB at the helm. Hopefully we see no more of that.

What I seen tonight was a young QB making dumb decisions who is now on pace for 63 Interceptions this season

Wow, now that is Jake Plummer like. I know my opinion is garbage and I should not compare the mighty Romo to anyone.

I go by what I can actually see instead of pretending it was ok.

What i saw was Romo make dumb mistakes, and throw away the game.

You can go on pretending he played well, and you can hope for "upside" but so far I have visual evidence on my side.

As for 8-8 where do you expect us to finish with Romo?

Let's give Romo a chance. When a defense knows you have to pass the ball, that's makes it very tough for a veteran QB.....let alone a QB that's only played a few snaps. I think he did really well, despite the ints. I'm not saying he's a savoir, but he did play well. Did anyone notice the touchdown pass to TO? He recognized how the defense was playing TO and he audibled the play to a quick stop. I've never seen Bledsoe do that. There are going to be growing pains, but at least we will know if we need to draft a QB, along with OL, in this draft.

What happened that made us go into a pass only situation? Oh that would be mistakes from Romo. Because down 5 with a half to play was not pass only. His mistakes put us in that position

Why were we not leading the game? Oh, cause Bledsoe, a veteran, threw an int on the goal line, on a play that was suppose to go to the wide side of the field. His mistake put us in that position and lost the momentum.

You can hang your hat on that if you like. Does not change the FACT, that Romo caused the game to spiral out of control with hi mistakes. He took a close game and turned it into a blowout

He might be the future, but we're most likely going to suffer in the present.

Well......if you're not willing to take some lumps (see Bill Parcells) we might as well sign Mark Brunell this offseason.

If you're not willing to go through the learning curve, you will forever be........well............just what we are right now.

I totally saw this entire season coming............BTW, it will get worse.....buckle up.

We did lose ground (points wise) with Romo in the game. But, we seemed to move the ball a heck of lot better on offense with him there.

I don't know - and neither does anyone else on this site - if Romo has "upside." Will he get better, calmer, smarter? But, I think we have to find out.

We pretty much know that Bledsoe isn't going to get us into the play-offs. So, let's see what Romo can do with a little more 1st team practice and real game situations. Maybe he'll surprise some people and get better.

And, if not, we'll know that we have to draft early for a QB.

Now this post I mostly agree with.

Now think about it. Had Bledsoe not thrown that interception and threw a touchdown right before the half, it's probably a safe bet that he starts the 2nd half. It's not about hanging my hat, I'm going by what I saw. Not to blame everthing on Bledsoe, cause the defense was horrible, but Romo is not in that situation with a touchdown before the half, that Bledsoe blew not only taking the lead, but killing the momentum. That's the FACT.

This sure sounds like unfair criticism but that's just my opinion. If, after a week as the starter taking starter reps in practice, Romo goes to Carolina and lays an egg I will then see your criticism as somewhat just. At present I consider it heat of the moment anger over a tough loss (something we allshare).

I cant believe some of the things I'm reading..

Did you guys expect romo to come in and light it the building on fire throwing for 5 Tds and blow out the Giants?

I've never felt this goodf about a loss in a long time. I understand that if ROmo is the future there will be bumps in the road.

Any real fan can see this and respect it...Just chill the hell out, relax and see what happens. There is no point to complain about ROMO right now. Give him the rest of the season to see what we have. Bledsoe wouldnt of done anything anyways.

If you agree with that post then you'll agree with what I said here which is a carbon copy of what you just agree with.

So...if Bledsoe doesn't screw up before the end of the half, Romo would have never have had the opportunity to throw three picks?

I'm sorry, no QB sucks enough to cause three turnovers while standing on the sideline wearing a visor, not even Bledsoe.

Right. If Bledsoe hadn't thrown the pick before the half, you could have watched Bledsoe throw 3 picks in the second half.
