Romo isn't the problem

He played his worse game as a pro Sunday but in his defense why in the name of all that is decent did the Cowboys abandon a marvelously effective run game in a tie?

As I stated before, twelve rushing attempts was ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!

Especially when you had 130 yards in a single quarter, Julius was having a good night.

Romo showed what he can do given the chance to throw to semi-open receivers. Over the last two games, he's faced much better defenses, but so has our offensive line, RBs, TEs, & WRs. Plus, we were completely out-coached this last game. DBs were sitting on slants to Glenn, and out-physicalling Owens. They stuffed our running game except for the 77 yd. TD run.
Now that the Cowboys are in the stretch run, they will be facing much tougher teams just gunning for them. All of a sudden, the offensive line that was blocking better is getting punched in the mouth, & they have backed down. The receivers are growing alligator arms, and JJ is running smack into the backs of his blockers. Man, I don't know how many times all or most of the Saint's defense was stacked in the middle to stuff the run, and JJ had all this room to run to the corner and down the sideline. Instead, he runs where the play is called, regardless if it is blocked or not.

I hope BP took a hard look at who showed up Sunday night, and who packed it in, or just never showed up. Owens is one who should sit. When I saw Romo pratically have to push Owens down the LOS to get positioned, I hit the roof. He did that at Philly last year when we were pummeling his team. He gave up on routes, dropped balls, and didn't fight for extra yds. I knew then that his charater DOES show up on game day. Why keep fighting when I could get hurt for nothing? Right Owens? We need to sit this guy FOREVER, and put Crayton in his place. At least Patrick fights until the game is over.

Let's give Romo the players he needs to get the job done, & he will. I know he overthrew a few guys, and wasn't as sharp as he has been, but Romo is the least of this teams' problems.

Perhaps you missed what Sean Payton said about stopping Romo. He made it sound easy and a no-brainer. You think the rest of the NFL isn't going to pick up on it.

I would be more concerned with the times when Romo had time to throw and didn't have the mustard to get the ball where it needed to go.

A few of the bad throws were bad decisions, a bunch of them were the result of his arm not being there.

The Saints showed the league his weaknesses, they kept in the pocket and played the run. They forced him to throw long, he couldn't.

He played poorly, it was the bubble burster critics relished to see. Hopefully he will bounce back. This is that demoralizing performance Parcells warned him about and wanted to see if he can respond from.
