Romo knockout pic

I'm not him...but, my answer would be that the Giants team played great tonight!

Not sure why his team has sucked so bad in other games.

I'd like to see what kinds of numbers Romo was able to put up in the TD column if he got nearly 200 yards and 5.2 ypc from his RBs.

Manning only had to throw 21 times in that game, fails to connect on 8 of those and 5 of the remainder wind up as TDs. Luckiest QB in the NFL.

Luck is part of the game. So is the bounce of the ball, and the rest of the team.

Eli happens to have a good coach and a good team when he won. His defense won the last Superbowl, his lucky catch won the first one. (or do i have that backwards?)

Eli is a great QB, there is no doubt about that. But, if he were on the Cowboys teams of the past, he has no rings.

I wonder what would have happened if he had initially gone to the Chargers like he was drafted to do until daddy stepped in? You think he would have won 2 SB's?

Cowboys just need to put a team together of winners.
If Murray gets hurt next season again[that would make the third season in a row] and he misses a decent amount of games. We need to cut him. Can't perform if he's never on the field.

I agree...Ware needs to be cut also. So does Sean Lee, Carter, and any other football player on the Cowboys that get hurt.

I mean, it's football! You don't get hurt playing with a football!

I don't think Eli is a great QB, I think he has benefited more than anyone wants to admit from an often dominant running game, a defense that gives them short fields, and playing against poor pass defenses that make it easy for his receivers to pile up YAC.

He has also had things go his way more often than most on hail mary passes. If any of those things go missing he doesn't play well.

The Eagles weren't able to do anything, the D gave the Giants short fields repeatedly, and their running game got him into position to pass for TDs because he pretty much didn't have to pass anywhere else.

With a different last name he wouldn't ever have sniffed a pro bowl, with a poor running game he would have been released years ago. That guy should wake up every day and thank his lucky stars that his mediocre ability hasn't been exposed much more often in his career.

He completed almost 62% of his passes, tossed 5 TD's and had a passer rating of 134.5 and you're trashing his performance chalking it all up to luck. What else is new! lol If that was Romo you would be singing a different tune.

It's pretty fricking easy to complete 62% of your passes when you only have to toss it 21 times and your opponent is getting crushed by the run.

In that kind of game Romo would have completed 70%+ of his passes and I can say this because he has done so 7 times this season alone with NO running game most of the year, which is more than twice as often as Eli has done the same in the last two seasons combined.

What do they call it?

Being in the right place at the right time?

But, I hear you, but then again, he does good for his team. Two Rings...

He has two rings, but the two Superbowl MVPs are as far as I'm concerned stolen goods that rightfully should have gone to Justin Tuck.

It's pretty fricking easy saying that sitting behind your computer. So exactly how many games in the NFL have you QB'd? Tell Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow it's pretty fricking easy to complete 62% off 21 attempts. lol How easy is it to toss 5 TD's off of 21 attempts? All some of you do is sit around and make excuses for every great game Eli has. You can't take off your homer caps for a second.

And that is why you have to evaluate things for yourself. To get the whole story.

Evaluating things yourself gives you the whole story? Well that explains why you think the way you do. :laugh1:

You sure have been drinking the Kool-Aid when it comes to Romo being an elite QB who's better than Eli how's the Kool-Aid tasting now? You should try listening to voices of reason once in awhile instead of always sticking with your own line of thinking that obviously isn't very objective. What we saw tonight is what I tried explaining to you for 2 days in that other thread.

We went page after page and all you did was laugh and scoff. Still think Romo is better than Eli? Romo had an opportunity to drive the Cowboys for the winning score tonight and like what we've seen in several of these do or die games he folded. In 7 do or die games he's now suffered TWELVE turnovers and is 1-6. Eli's been able to do in 2 SB's what Romo can't do when given the opportunity in the regular season.

These are the games that QB's are measured by. I'm sure we won't have to worry about you ever starting another Eli vs Romo thread again. How about a Romo vs RG3 thread dare to go there?

If you just read the title without seeing the pic you would think the OP was 100% correct in the prediction.
