Romo Looked Very Sharp in Scrimmage

You conveniently left out the teams over all record with and without Romo the last 7 years. You've also done nothing but point out everything negative you could. While you have the right to your opinion and judging the team as you see fit. You're just plain wrong about being a realist. Like most pessimists, you try to convince everyone else your just being a realist. But, Like most pessimists you anticipate the very worst. Which protects you from being let down. A realist looks at the entire situation. Let's it play out. Enjoys it when things go well. Accepts that things don't always go right when they don't.

you have to remember ufcrules is proud of his status as the #1 Romo hater on site.

No, I was just pointing out that the team doesn't just tank because Romo is out. I don't believe our only shot at success is if Romo is the QB like others here believe. He has played under his regular season stats in both elimination games and playoff games and that is a fact. He hasn't done anything special for this team in those games. Our team has been pretty irrelevant with or without him for many years.

your posts are unintentionally very funny

I also pointed out that Romo apparently found a way to lose games that even Kitna had no problem winning lol ;)...
That part was intentional, though. The part where Romo gets the benefit of such a game twice per season, while it happened for Kitna in every other game...not so much.

Truly, I haven't seen anyone say he looked "bad." He had one bad deep throw to Williams (that was completed), but other than that looked solid.

Same here.

I think Brandon whateverhisnameis that has online updates mentioned a ball in the dirt. But that was a busted play and do over....thrown in the dirt on purpose in other words. Also, the ball that was picked was a throw away out of bounds where he just had throw it further or higher...Scandrick skied to tip then catch that one. Romo claims it wouldn't have been cool to throw it into the stands and maybe bean a little kid or something.

Otherwise, it was nothing special one way or the other, imo. Just the team getting in work while Dez dazzled.

This. By all accounts that I've seen, he's looked mostly like Romo. You know how it goes though, he has one off through and all bets are off on the internet.

Ignorant fans will always be critical of the Cowboy QB. Heck I remember Aikman getting flak all the time from ignorant fans.

I can see now every pass will be over analyzed, hate to tell some folks but no QB throws perfect passes on every throw.

It happens here every day. Just identifies the smarter fans.

True, I guess if Rodgers in GB throws a bad pass it has to be because of his collar bone. lol

No doubt Romo back injury is a concern to me it is not the taking of a hit or a throw but the accumlations of hits that all QB take over the course of a season. How will Tony respond? For now things are going as planned and according to him he is feeling good. Maybe I'm not as big of a worry wart as some are, since I understand any player can go down at any time. Even without the back surgery it is never a given that Tony or any player will make it through an entire season. I know some are waiting for the I told you so lol

Romo looked pretty good during the scrimmage. I didn't see any lingering effects of the back surgery. But with backs, you just never know how bad it really is. Tiger Woods had been doing great until one swing early in his round yesterday and he couldn't finish. Dez also has back problems but you don't hear much about it hear because he's not the QB. Bottom line is none of us know if he can make it a year. We'll just have to wait and see.

This debatable, very debatable.

I don't know about great he has not shown any control over his swing since he came back from his surgery. None the less not every injury is the exact same nor is each individual and how the respond ever the exact same.

Tony Romo is not without fault. Throughout his career he has thrown poor passes that have resulted in interceptions. He has fumbled in crucial moments. However, he has also thrown passes which have been tipped, mishandled by targeted players, or receivers have run incorrect routes. The latter are errors which the quarterback is not responsible for. In addition, his teammates on offense, defense, and special teams, along with coaches, have poorly executed their assignments or exercised poor judgment. In summary, the overwhelming majority of problems resulting in poor play and game losses are attributive to everyone in Dallas not named Romo.

It is a simple matter of determining whether anyone associated or not associated with this board are realists. If the overwhelming majority of their comments are evenly vetted about the team (offense, defense, special teams, coaching, management) and a minority of their direct opinion (good or bad) is about Romo, they are realists. If the overwhelming majority of their comments are about Romo, they are not realists. On this site, a simple search of anyone's posting history can determine which of the two is accurate.

So, while I agree that some of the latter can be accurately defined as pessimists, I would suggest that it cannot be attributed to all. Better descriptions could be used than pessimist, although more apt definitions might be received more critically than pessimist.

Anyway, that's my two cents. Good post by the way.
