I already said I thought that pic was from this year right after I posted it when someone brought it to my attention it was from last year try keeping up. You claimed Romo is "significantly" heavier and not one pic that has been posted backs up your claim and not one member from the media has reported him being heavier. You also claimed Romo has a double chin let's see the pic.
There's several current pics of him that don't show him with a double chin that's what happens when you make your claim off of one picture. BTW you didn't answer my question what did you see in Romo's play on the field last season to make you think he regressed?
You keep asking for "proof" when I keep stating that it's my OPINION. Go look up pictures yourself and make your own judgment. I don't have anything to prove to you in regards to my opinion, bro. Just know that I'm not the only forum member that feels this way about Romo's weight.
End. of. story.
Moving on, I thought Romo looked less athletic outside of the pocket and not as comfortable in the pocket, and I understand the lack of balance on offense, non-existant running game and the porous offensive line, but Tony has to take some of the blame as well. It's a team sport, right?
Other regression signs? I don't know, the NINETEEN INTERCEPTIONS and career-low passer rating of 90.5 (which is still good, but not for Tony's standards IMO) could be indicators.
Just tell me, what quarterback in NFL history do you know of that progressed from a physical and statistical standpoint in his mid 30's? I can't think of any off the top of my head. Maybe someone can add to the topic.
Elway shouldn't count IMO because he was essentially a bus driver. They won their two SB's riding Terrell Davis and playing solid defense.
I just think Tony has peaked as a player, and with Jerry now seemingly putting MORE responsibility on Romo, this could turn out to be a big mistake. I think Jerry needs to stop talking, and needs to focus on surrounding Tony with better talent on the offensive line.
Make no mistake about it, we can still win and win big with Tony, but the guy needs some help. He's at that point in his career where the team can't depend on him to make every big comeback, or putting the organization on his back. How about some defensive turnovers? That'd be nice.
That's why it comes down to physical conditioning and nutrition with me. If more responsibility is going to be put on Tony, he needs to take every advantage he can OFF the field. Judging by how his body has changed, IN MY OPINION, he doesn't seem to be taking it seriously.
Why was Jerry Rice so successful with longevity and productivity? He couldn't be outworked, and his nutrition/training was flawless. With $100 million dollars, I expect the same with Tony.
