A really good statistic to show just how bad Romo's career has been. Playoff wins, Mark Sanchez 4, Colin Kaepernick 4, Dan Marino 8, Tony Romo 2... Pathetic.

I always thought it was a team sport.

This was just the early example of Tonys bad luck.
Some have good luck some bad.
Had they won 1 more game that season, that game might have been in dallas.
As it was , it was a bad start to his career.

Thing is if that ball was real slick and your center is smart, before getting set you could rough it up on the turf then get set to snap.
The center snapped it ok.
Tony "almost" made the TD and the 1st down, but he also fumbled.
Thats why I call him almost Tony, he almost does this or that, but not quite.

There was enough time left in that game for Seattle to win it even if the field goal went through.

People forget this. It's often billed as the last play of the game when the media covers it.

There was about 1:10 - 1:20 left on the clock although Seattle had no timeouts. The defense had collapsed down the stretch that year, the previous game they gave up 39 points to the 2-13 Lions. It would be the last game for Zimmer as the defensive coordinator and the collapse led to the hiring a defensive minded head coach in Phillips. At the time in no way did I think that field goal was going to win the game.

I think the best chance for them to win was to either score a TD on that drive or stop Alexander after Seattle took over. Alexander ripped off 20 yards on his first play, and that was enough to drain the clock so that Romo had no chance by the time he got the ball back.

If I was to blame Romo on that game, it wouldn't be for the bobble. They only managed 13 offensive points against a depleted secondary. He managed the game well enough but they really needed to generate more points. No interceptions but only around 6.5 ypa.

Some of that was probably Parcells reigning him in as he was extremely turnover averse. But I also don't think Romo was the same player he would later become. 2014 Romo probably wins that game by double digits.

Overstatements and bravado.

What I really dislike about Romo is coming back late in the game to win..

is that it is normally because Romo will start a game starting out slow and often creating plays like rubles and interception to put us behind from the outset.

It does occur to you DAK is driving the ball leading the NFL in longest drives for scores.

And this is often occurring in the beginning of games like Cincy.

So DAK doesn't need to take risks and builds leads to protect instead of Romo who does little of that.

So you tell me..

Which way would you want to go..?

Romo. Not even with hesitation.

We never had Horrible Defenses with Demarcus Ware and Jay Ratliff on the field. Our defenses actually had quite a few 1st and 2nd rd picks.

The only time we had a SOLID defense consistently was Bill's when Romo first got here. I know Ware was a "name" but he never showed up for us late in his career until the 4th quarter (get mad all you want.) Remember when Jacques Reeves was playing with a 15 yard cushion on 1st downs because he was "so good?"
