During the game, Romo switched Dez into the slot and moved Beasley outside. The net result was a 44 yard catch and run.

What on earth is our coaching staff doing? Are they that inept?

I'm not gonna lie. This is probably the first game in years where I didn't watch it till the end. Turned it off after Kenny Stills caught his TD which I think was on the possession after the onside kick. Trying to run the ball at beginning of the 4th quarter was a complete joke.

That's what's so sad about it. We have an unbelievably explosive weapon in Dez, but we refuse to move him around and we willingly let opposing defenses take him out of the game. what did he have, 2 targets? You FIND ways to get your best playmaker involved.

I agree to a certain extent, however, when they should the film of Dez against New Orleans from last year -- man, he was blowing by guys -- creating natural separation, beating double teams, etc

This year, he just doesn't seem nearly as explosive. The speed just isn't there.

I don't know if it his back or what, however, I don't think Dez is playing as well as he did in the last 8 games last season.

in those highlghts vs N.O. last year, he was single covered on all of those highlights. he's getting true superstar treatment this year. miles needs to come back asap. the rest of our receivers are overrated.

Yeah we need Miles. Terrance is 50/50 on one on one and that's being generous, IMO.

It seriously makes me wonder what they do during practice. I just don't get it. Are they still trying to perfect the hook and ladder play or something?

I thought it was damning on the coaching staff that Romo had to make that change and its almost as if the offense had no capacity for that change to be made. How has this not been implemented or any motion run to take some of the pressure off of dez? EVERY great WR since the dawn of time has been moved around and put in motion.....how about stacking WRs RHG? Unbelievable.

Appears that is the D we should have laid on Megatron with a CB and S, and let our "lockdown" corner take out the lessor WR on the other side.........we'd have likely won the Detroit game......

Garrett's offense lacks innovation and creativity. Defensive coordinators are licking their chops. Double Dez and the rest fails.

I think its more damning on the player. It has taken Dez 3 years to learn his first position. Outside right WR. All the ins and outs. Reading the defenses and getting on the same page with his QB at that position. He isnt moved around as much on the Offense cause he is a mental midget and doesnt know the whole playbook and all the defensive reads for all the WR positions. Only his own. Talent only gets you so far. And until he learns all the positions ... he is incapable of being moved around. He has to suffer the double teams and be taken out of games.

Edit:
Still think he deserves a contract like megatron and Fitz? Me ... not so much.

Dez doesnt know how to run routes from his own position. Irvin even sees this.

Dez cannot play wr from the other positions. He needs to learn it. It is why this team has kept miles. Miles can.

Dez learns to play the x,y,z positions it will make him that much harder to shut down, but til then he can be shut down like last night

Didn't move Michael Irvin around much, so can't move Dez around. Remember this is Jerry's team. Jerry is forever trying to rebuild those early-90s teams. And he expects guys to play the same way, play the same roles and do the same things.

Sure it hasn't been working over the last nearly 20yrs, but if we just stick with it maybe, just maybe...

Miles is overrated.

Even if he wasn't it wouldn't matter.

WRs across the league are getting it done with solid QB and good schemes. Dallas has one of them, completely lacks the other.

I will never understand the whole "Dez can't run routes" complaint.

Who gives a F. There is not one guy in the league who can cover him, even if he is a little sloppy. There's no reason to not move him around. Not freaking one.

Jason Garrett has 0 creativity, and the fact that Dez isn't blowing teams out of the water is a direct representation of that.

This offense has looked exactly the same since 06 or 07 when he got here, regardless of players. Did anyone ever think that, maybe, just maybe, JG should try to focus on the things that Dez does well, rather than focusing on the negative? JG does nothing to help a lot of his players, and Dez is one of the guys who gets screwed because of it.

Dez Bryant is a very good WR. Maybe even great. Having said, he isn't a good as you think he is. Maybe he can get there.
