I agree, but if Brees breaks Dan Marino's NFL all time passing yards shouldn't the league have a CoMVPs?

True but putting up 5,000 yards and taking a 3-13 team to the post season just may get Brees the MVP award.

Tomlinson has 40% of the Chargers' total yardage, compared to 32% by last year's MVP Alexander, and 30% by Faulk in 2000 (the last two RB's to win MVP).

But Brees has 76% of the Saints' total yardage, compared to Manning's 70% and 71% when he was MVP in 2003 and 2004, McNair's 56% in 2003, Gannon's 73% in 2002, and Warner's 70% in 2001.

If the season ended today, there would have to be co-MVPs again.
