No thanks. To inconsistent in play calling duties, just don't see him as a head coach.

We had the game won at the end of the third, if all he does is call running plays. In today's NFL, players do what coaches tell them, Garrett called pass, Romo passed. Terrible pass, but a pass should not have been called....period.

you don't know that for sure.. what if JG originally called a run play and Romo audibled out of it?

winning superbowls makes you a great owner. the current jerry jones the jerry of the past decade and a half does not win supper bowls.

No. Winning Super Bowls make you a great GM.

Building revenue, marketing your team, building stadiums, paying players, contributing in the various league committees and the bargaining agreements make you a great owner.

West coast offense.. yay....

It doesn't matter who is coaching. He spent 5 years with Bill.

Its on Romo now. Nobody out there is going to come in and work a miracle.

And right now the formations that Garrett is throwing at people is pretty scarry. Now if we can just get Romo to do what he is coached to do.

Tomlin is young. He's been to the Superbowl. He won too!

GO GET HIM JERRY!
You paid Garrett more than any OC and you've built the biggest shindig stadium on earth! Want to prove your power and wealth?

It's just money...

Correct! Winner winner chicken dinner.

Garrett made one mistake. That was not running the ball more in the second half. Alright, big mistake, but other than that, he called a hell of a game. Everything was there, Romo just didn't have the accuracy to execute it all. He had a bad night. It happens.

Calling a QB draw on third and goal was genius, btw.

No to Cowher - Gruden - Shanny -

Holmgren only as GM

I rather have Billick than any of those clowns

but I think if we get Garrett as HC - or hire some young guy that hungry just like Jimmy was

Ron Rivera
Jim Harbaugh
In January 2009, Harbaugh was confirmed to have been interviewed by the New York Jets for the head coach position], although the job was eventually offered to Rex Ryan[6].

keep Herring as DC
move Dat to LB coach
keep Sheman as WR coach
keep Peete as RB coach
an maybe keep Houck as line coach because the line has come around a little since hes been here

maybe Ken Zampese is in his seventh season as Bengals quarterbacks coach. He has guided the development of Carson Palmer into one of the NFL's elite passers and team leaders. as - OC
or Hue Jackson OC

and fire Wade - Campo - Maxie - Wade Wilson - Wesley Phillips - Grantham - Juraszek

Juraszek cause there some reason our guys are getting tired at the end of a game

an please fire Wade Wilson because I think he held Troy back as a QB when Troy was QB

I'm starting to despair that it isn't Romo, or coaches, or anything like that. The problem is that Jerry Jones himself is cursed and no matter what he does, who he hires, who he fires, who he signs, it just won't work because the football gods don't like him. I am convinced now that the team won't get out of this slump until he steps aside as GM.

Folks will bash me for saying this after only two weeks. But I think Holmgren would be the most likely candidate to deal with Romo. Garrett to me just doesn't cut it. His play calling is suspect and not consistent.

Holmgren developed both Favre and Hasselbach. We keep the same offense, but I think the mistakes go down.

I think we will see in the near future players starting to quit on Wade. He's a lame duck coach and the players know it.

Holmgren never was able to stop Favre from making dumb passes after a while he did not even get after Brett about it. I have nothing against Holmgren but he is not some QB savior

Cursed? Come on are you serious? There are no curses and lucky charms do not work there is no Karma. It comes down to talent and that talent going out and executing nothing magical about it.

we need a young coach who will work these players not another 60+ year old coach.

Like the guy below said, it is exactly the respect issue that what makes holmgren or Cowher a good prospect for this team. Jerry will just make a puppet out of any coach who has not proved themselves and earned the respect of the NFL for years.

A young coach will have no responsibility under Jerry. Holmgren has Jerry's respect, he may have a chance.

Agreed.

I like Cowher also, I think he earned the respect of any player, and will demand it as well. He would bring in a real coaching staff including better OC and DC that will better prepare this team for the upcoming opponent.
But I will take Holgren as well because the guy is an X & O's type coach. He uses more of a west coast offense style which is more Romo style than what we have. He also will not put up with laziness and lackadaisy play which this team is infected with.

The one thing this team suffers from is lack of preperation and lack of appreciation for who they are going to play, and this all points to the coaching staff. They always seem to underestimate the opponent and play as if they will win it at some point in the game "no need to worry right now"

No one needs to bother writing saying that it is the players yada yada yada, if that were entirely true - we could just hire Bozo the Clown to come in here and it would be no different.

Well whatever it is, we had Parcells who is a no-nonsense strict coach. We have Wade who is a big softy, a lenient coach. There is a constant factor that spans these two and beyond that has made this team extremely inconsistent. It isn't the players, other teams do as much or more with less. We have some good players and some average but so does every team.
With this team not only does it not have an identity, you never know (hell I don't think the coaches even know) what to expect from the players week to week.
When I was young, my folks owned a successful company and we were financially well-off you could say.
In the early 80's, the oil industry slowdown hit us very hard. (We fabricated large oil field equipment) We lost almost everything trying to keep the company afloat, paying employees and creditors.

Now, my folks are retired and doing well but a lesson I learned was that having "something" and losing it hurts much worse than never having it.

This is the hardest part of being a Cowboy fan. (kinda over-dramatic I know lol) If you are a Raider fan, your team sucks. You know your team sucks and next week they will pretty much suck then too. :laugh2:
With the Cowboys, one week you look unbeatable, dominating and explosive. The next week you not only look bad, but an average college team might put it on you. What is that all about?? That's been a problem here for over a decade.
It's not just the QB or the left tackle or the defensive coordinator. It's something much bigger. That inconsistency is the killer to me. Someone with the software should make a graph of the major points of our team like W/L, YPG, etc... Ridiculous.

If it doesn't happen with Red then go with a younger, aggresive defensive minded coach: for the love of GOD we have to get the 'D straightened out...
