Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 1. Romo completed 15-of-24 passes for 345 yards with five touchdowns, four passing and one rushing, during the team's season opener.

Mickey Spagnola, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys DT Jason Ferguson (biceps) underwent successful surgery Friday, Sept. 14. Doctors successfully reattached his torn biceps to the tendon at the elbow. He faces a three- to four-month rehabilitation and will be ready for offseason workouts in 2008.
