Romo or Brady? Which is more capable of using their BIG PLAY WR effectively?

I know Romo is early in his development... but he showed flashes of really getting the ball to his WR's at the right times and often.

Which QB uses their weapon best and most effectively and why?

Not just looking for a Brady or Romo answer? I would like to know based on their tendencies and talent how can they accel with these diva WR's

ROMO...not being a homor.....

the reason i say him is because...if Brady gets into trouble...or his WR is blanketed he dosent have the mobility or athleticism to buy his guy and him self extra time....and Romo does...and he has proven it!

I would agree to a point. I clearly think Romo is better equipped to make a play downfield after being pressured and/or flushed from the pocket, but in straight dropback situations Brady is at least as capable of mking the downfield throw.

Right now Brady, given the fact he did not have a great set of WR to work with yet was still very successful last season. That is not to say that Romo will not become better in the future but as it stands right now I would give the edge to Tom Brady

Big Plays? Big Plays go both ways. While Romo is probably more likely to make that kind of play right now, Brady is smart enough to know that trying to make that play is probably going to hurt you more then help you. Brady will throw the ball away or check down to get what is there. Live to play another day and not create a bad situtation for your defense.

The biggest and truest statistic in football, IMO, is Turn Overs. I believe the statistic is something like 70% of teams who can create a single turn over and not commite one will win the football game. The state goes up the bigger the TO differential.

In short, I'd take Brady.

I would say Steve Young was probably the best at it. After that Farve was pretty good when he wasn't under to much pressure.

If you are talking about today... Carson Palmer and Stinky Brees.

Until Tom Brady gives me reason to doubt him I am not taking any QB not named Peyton Manning against him in any debate dealing with talent and abilities.

I didn't answer who is the best QB. I just named the QBs I thought were the best at getting the ball to the type of recievers they had. Think Culpepper/Moss and then Cullpepper and Moss without each other.

Romo has a long way before he gets the benefit of the doubt over Brady.

Hell Brady uses Non Big Play WR's better than Romo at this point.

Brady, Brady, Brady. Could be close at some point, but not at this point.

I think that I would have to say that Roger Staubach was the best I ever saw, at it. After that, it would probably be John Elway for me.

I can't believe this is even a thread...

Why? Because Jason Campbell is not mentioned? :laugh2:

Someone will make a thread about suck-*** QB's later on, then you can enjoy it, OK?

I'm sorry but this can't be real. Tom Brady has been getting it done with no one at WR for several years now. Just because he spreads the ball around a lot doesn't mean he can't hit WRs, just watch what he does this year.

good question since Brady hasn't worked w/ any big-play WRs to this point, and Romo has just barely

I'd have to give the edge to Brady since he's been completing 60% of his passes and has averaged 7 yards per pass attempt for his career, which has been substantially longer than Romo's

I believe its a great question.

Its pretty simple.

High profile QB's throws ball.
High profile WR's catch the ball.

Which duo will post the best results? for the team?
