Last year he chose Crawford and this year he's going w the rookie Jones.

According to Machota Romo had this to say

@jonmachota: Tony Romo said Byron Jones has a skillset that'll allow him to grow and improve as a player. Praised his athleticism, speed and intelligence

On a similar note, Fred said the player that appeared to have improved the most in the weight room in the offseason is Darrion Weems.

Yeah but c'mon. It's tony. The guy who put his stamp of approval on Escobar.

That's interesting.

I assumed, especially after we got Collins, that he pretty much had no shot at the roster, but the coaches like him, and if he's improved, there might be something there. Leaves us with a bit of a logjam at tackle though. Going to make it difficult for Green to stick unless he can move to center to replace Bern on the roster.

Green is making the roster. Come on.

Green and Collins can play Guard. Green has been mentioned at Center. Weems might even be an option at Guard (6-5, 320).

I'm not expecting Weems to make it, but I'm not counting him out.

Welp to have somebody break out in the secondary would be nice. Really nice if they could force some turn overs.

If our 3rd round pick doesn't make the team I would be extremely disappointed to say the least. We seem to hate 3rd round picks lately (jk).

Romo's got an eye for talent. Will McClay better watch his back.
