While it's easy to make the joke, the reality is that T.O.'s hands still fail him more than Roy's.

The fact that he ranks 14th suggest that Roy's not dropping as many as people think. However, those that he's dropped has been critical.
You have to measure it by how many catches and targets he has compared to his peers. If someone has 9 drops, but twice the catches then Roy is still worse.

Absolutely correct!

Well since no one has put up those numbers, we're only gonna go by what's in front of us.

T.O. is 3rd in drops. Roy is 14th.

Neither one of them is actually tearing it up this year...no matter the reasons given.

True.

How many has Witten been credited with?

Jason Witten may be the best Tight End in the league and doesn't make excuses when he doesn't perform.

True.

And both are making a ton of money.

Wow... Way to spend $48 million Jerrah. I'm no longer defending this guy, he's yet to make a significant impact in a big game this year.

Wasn't saying he was right DE, just thought his rebuttal was funny.
No harm, no foul, Maikeru-sama. The whole thing is hilarious to me.

I'm glad TO is gone but at least you knew you would get a ton of big plays to go along with his drops.

And again, I think letting TO go was the best thing that happened all offseason.

I agree that a ball has to basically hit the hands or goes right through his hands. THAT is a drop. Some moronic announcers and others think if you can get a finger on the ball and don't catch it its a drop.

Just an eyeball response but Roy drops too many balls relative to the number of passes coming his way.

that is why we need someone to keep track so that instead of perception (which will be colored by whether you are a fan or not of the player in question) we have something a little more substantial.

So drops are a official stat now?

Really?

whats next?

Official almost int made?

You may be taking the joke too seriously. It doesn't have anything to do with whether T.O. is catching or dropping passes right now, it has to do with the fact that we lost a receiver with dropsies and got another.

Roy never had a rep as a player that dropped- he always was known for his hands. Hopefully this is a temporary thing.

I certainly hope so. From what I've seen of him previously, and even some grabs here, he's got sticky hands. Not sure where this drop stuff came from. He needs to get right, I want to look forward to years of Roy and Austin (and Witten) busting up the NFCE together.
