Romo remind you of Steve Young?

I don't disagree, but that doesn't mean Romo doesn't remind me (and lots of others) of Favre when he's on the field.

There are lots of simularities between the two. I can agree with that but to me, the big difference is the Arm. The arm made Favre impulsive and a bit reckless in his play. Had he not had the physical attributes he had, he would have never been a starting NFL QB, much less an all time great. Conversely, the fact that Romo doesn't have that kind of arm makes him a better decision making QB IMO. He fights the impulse to make those kinds of throws. I do see a great deal that reminds me of Favre though. His body motion is very simular.

Are you blind or do you have comprehension problems???

I've said REPEATEDLY that Romo reminds me of Favre when he plays, that I'm NOT saying he IS Favre, will have a Hall of Fame career or any other fricking thing else!

I'll say it one more time: The way he moves, the way he improvises, the fun he has when he's on the field, Romo reminds me of Favre. Nothing else!

Exactly. His style of play is what many see but of course Romo is not a clone of Favre and I have not seen anyone make that claim that Tony is exactly the same. Only pointing out simularities and it is easy to see why Romo himself has said "A heavy influence on his playing style was Brett Favre."

Sorry, I guess I needed to read the thread a bit more carefully. Having said that, I kind of agree with Abersonic. Not that you can't compare the two. I think that's a natural comparison because of the ties betweent he two. If you ask Favre, he would say that it's like looking in a mirror, I think. However, I think the major difference in the two are the difference in Arm Strength. It just makes QBs develop differently IMO. That's good and bad.

As I said earlier, when I watch Romo, I see Kelly.

I guess when I envision Kelly I see a tall, strong guy with a gun standing tall in the pocket, but I was a lot younger when I had any reason to watch Buffalo play and didn't pay that much attention to anything in particular.

As far as arm strength, player development, etc, that may be the case. But none of it has anything to do with what I see when I watch Romo play. I just think he looks like Favre. That's all.

He reminds me of a cross between Richie Cunnigham and THE FONZ.Good wholesome kid,yet cocky and very confident. All the chics dig him for one of those two reasons you know.:D

Romo reminds me of Jesus.

I like to think of him as a michievous badger.

I agree with everything you say. Plays like the one-yard pass to Curtis against Miami--THAT was Brett Favre.

I hope Romo's not conciously changing his game so he plays like anybody, least of all Favre. Seems to me that could cause trouble. I read somewhere the Romo actually patterned his game after Montana. That fits better, physically, but he still looks like Favre to me.

Kelly was the original GunSlinger, before it was Favre. Kelly was probably 6-2/6-3 about 210/215. He didn't have an overpowering arm but he had a good arm. Very accurate passer and he throw a nice deep ball. Very intelligent. He played in a shot gun type offense. Red Gun, I think they called it. He was more sandlot then he was precission type passer. Always fun, always happy and a bit cocky when he was young.

That's actually not a bad comparison.

You can throw dumbo in that mix too because of the ears.
