Why are we talking about SBs for Romo? He hasn't posted a winning record in a half decade. Maybe try to pass that hurdle first.

You will have angry Romo lovers chasing you from thread to thread if you keep posting this kind of stuff. They can't take it .

As long as you say "team" and not Romo, I have no issue with that statement.

Romo won't lead anyone to the SB with Garrett as his HC. Those two are a bad match, IMO.

Sure Romo has put up some pretty stats during their tenure together but neither of those two are strong when it comes to game management.

I hate beating a dead horse but until there's a coach in here who is willing to reel Romo in some and who fully appreciates running the football we aren't going anywhere.

The NFL is all about parity. Which has resulted in the head coach often being the deciding factor in games because the physical talent of most teams is usually pretty even.

If a guy like Coughlin were coaching in Dallas I think we'd at least have a few more playoff wins under our belt.

Romo won't lead anyone to a SB regardless who his HC is. The same problems he's had under Garrett he had under Parcells and Wade. Some of his best statistical seasons have come with Garrett as the HC. Romo had arguably his best statistical season in 2011 during Garrett's first full season. In 2012 Romo passed for almost 5000 yards and has thrown for over 30+ TD's in 2 of his 3 seasons with Garrett as his HC. Prior to Garrett's arrival Romo only had one 30+ TD season. Garrett is not a good HC and has no business being an NFL HC but Romo has maintained being a very productive, efficient QB under him and continues giving the Cowboys a chance. Garrett is allowing Romo to do what he does best which is what Parcells and Wade did. Percyhoward likes mentioning Romo's passer rating and he's maintained a high passer rating under all 3 of his HC's. His career best passer rating in 2011 was under Garrett.

Parcells couldn't prevent Romo from making ill-timed mistakes and neither could Wade. I support Romo as the QB and will continue to do so as long as he remains productive and gives the Cowboys a chance every season but you're only going to get so far with him. No HC can prevent a QB from making a critical mistake at the worst possible time or teach them how to handle do or die game pressure they either can or they can't. The Cowboys are never going to be good enough defensively for Romo to be turned into a game manager when it gets down to crunch time. Garrett has tried to manage him by reducing his attempts and leaning more on the run but the Cowboys consistently poor defensive efforts every week has forced Romo to have to throw to keep up. Everytime he throws a TD the defense gives it right back and then some.

A lot of games are going to continue being put on Romo's shoulders and it's going to keep leading to mistakes. He's an impulsive gunslinger and that will never change under any HC. It didn't change with Favre and it won't with Romo. The only elimination game Romo won vs Philly 5 years ago the Cowboys built a sizable lead behind a solid running game and a very good defensive effort which allowed Romo to manage the game. With Romo likely having only 2-3 more good years left his best chances for a championship have come and gone when you look at the current state of the team. Offensively the talent is there to compete but Denver showed last season with a defense not half as bad as the Cowboys that you can't put it all on your offense to outscore opponents week after week or it will catch up with you.

Bravo.
This states the situation very well. We do love Romo. We don't like his roguish play that causes last-minute bobbles (excuse the word bobbles; ouch, that memory still hurts) he is prone to commit. His personal stats are great. But he will NEVER (just a gut feeling doo to his age, defense and scattershot play) get this team to the Super Bowl.

Good job.
Hey, if i weren't so drunk on power and licker I would stand up and applaud.
