Listening to the FAN and they said that tomorrow after Romo gets X-ray will tell how long he'll be out. If it's a spiral fracture in the shoulder he could be out longer so tomorrow we all need to hope for the best.

yep...plus, didn't he break the same bone in 2010? If so, that could slow healing too. 8-10 weeks.

It will be interesting to see if Weeden can win a single game as a Cowboy starter. He is an atrocious passer.

He threw a strike on a touchdown. He knows the offense. Who would you rather have, Weeden or Bradford? Kid looked lost in the headlights. Look man, I'm not saying he's the best (not even a Garrett, HA), but he's probably better than 5 starters in the league and he's what we got.

Amazing that people gnash their teeth on a backup QB when some teams can barely field a competent QB under center.

You're not looking at it objectively. I'm talking about the inevitable QB controversy that splits the locker room. Half wanting Weeden, half remaining loyal to Romo, even though they know what Weeden's doing is pretty damn special.

I don't know if that 9-0 team can handle that kind of distraction.

Surely you jest

I love my Cowboys but I just dont see us beating the NYG and Philly again, Seattle in Seattle, NO, and the Pats with Weeden.

We can't beat 2 teams we already beat and are averaging 9.5 points from their offenses (counting Philly's garbage)? Seattle is @ Dallas, and NO is awful.

I don't understand. Didn't they x-ray him in the locker room? Wouldn't they know if it's a spiral fracture now. What's so special about tomorrow's x-ray?

Weeden's had a lot of time now to learn the offense, I think he can run it and it will function. If the defense keeps playing like they have been we'll always be in the game, can't ask for much more than that. Hopefully the team rallies and keeps the season alive during this stretch.

Not to pour cold water on it but...18 - 33 .... 183 yds... 1 TD 2 INTs

That was Weeden's last outing, where he was obvious in staring down receivers and telegraphing where the ball was going. Granted it was a tight Arizona defense, it hardly predicts that the Cowboys will be "fine" for the next 7 games. That said, it seems that whereever this team ultimately ends up will be determined largely by a suddenly stingy defense that looks to get even better once Gregory, Hardy and McClain return. They will surely need them at MetLife. Getting ATL and NO back to back would set them up nicely until Romo heals. Lose both and suddenly the remaining five games become a dog-fight for the playoffs...maybe the division will be as bad as it was in 2013, but there always seems to be at least one team that will push the Cowboys at the end...lately it has been the Eagles.

cmon man, philly and the giants look terrible.

We probably wouldn't have won either game with Weeden as a starter. Which is the problem.

We wouldn't have won either game with Weeden as a starter, cut your teeth on that one. Nothing amazing about that.
