Watch the post game video at dallascowboys.com.
This is BY FAR the most confident I have seen him about himself and his play.
It was obvious he had some doubt about his back early in the year and if he was done (he said so), but now he is basically saying that he is easily the best he has ever been. He also basically says the team hasn't been that good in years past and was fortunate to be competing for playoff.

I'm not sure about that. Maybe the most confident he has been in the last few years, but back in 2007 he was pretty confident.

I think it's been a shame that the team wasn't well built during Romo's earlier days. He certainly hasn't enjoyed football as much as he should have because of the way this team has set him up for failure.

Hold on there. He did a good job of setting his team up for failure in past seasons on his own.

No he wasn't confident in 07. He finished the year a bit iffy.. and you can see at times he had that look. We've all seen that look. This year it's different. We saw glimpses of it before when we has an underdog ..but oh yeah he's more confident than I've ever seen.

I have to say, Romo has been remarkable down the stretch. The Philly game he was poised, he made play after play and was not a deer in head lights. He didn't choke things away. This Colts game, he was a straight bully to the Colts. I can't label the regular season choker job on him now.

So I believe we still need to win out, and then go on a 4 game win streak, no problem. I have no problems going to Green Bay or Seattle again if we have too. Whatever we have to do, whomever we have to play, as long as Romo plays with poise, and mixes his scrambling, with his now poise and accuracy, we can beat anyone in front of us. The only thing I'd like to see now is how he looks against a team with a heavy blitz like Washington did.

The 2006 and 2007 teams were actually really solid teams both offensively and defensively.

The 2008 team suffered because TO started to lose some of his big play ability and the OL started to show its age. The 2009 team was really good defensively but the OL was even older. Then that veteran laden roster basically imploded in 2010 and had to be rebuilt but without cap space, good young players in the pipeline and lots of dead money. Oh, and no young, quality, healthy OL.

You know it's a shame about the organizational philosophy Jerry ran for so many years where he was against drafting OL high. What Romo could have been doing all these years if he had an OL instead of Jerry always trying to buy WRs. The money and picks we blew on TO, Miles, RW11 and Galloway.

Best I've seen him play these last couple weeks hands down. And in big games. Looks like a legit MVP. Something is very different with this team and it starts with him.

I think the biggest difference is he just seems to trust in his teammates more.

TBH, I think he had very good reason in the past not to trust in his teammates at times. He can trust his OL to fight to keep him clean. He can trust his receivers will work hard to uncover themselves. He can trust Murray to stick his nose in there and grind out that first down on 3rd and short. I think he now trusts Dez, Beasley and Witten to make the proper route adjustments (maybe now TWill yet).

So when he knows everyone else is doing what they are supposed to be doing it really frees him up to do what he needs to do. His accuracy lately has been crazy good. I've never seen him throw the ball better.
