I think we will see less TD's, less Int's and more running the ball from the Cowboys this coming year.

Last year was an odd year for high QB stats - I think that the Defenses will catch up a bit this year and that will come back to the normal range.

I think the opposite, we're a PSSS 1st team with Garrett, and we're only gonna do MORE PASSING considering our W.R. core is gonna be vastly improved over last years unit and he has more confidence in Romo, don't be surprised to see us throw even more in 08'!

And the December downfall concerns me. He had 5 INT's to 1 TD in the last 3 games of the regular season and the year before wasn't that much better. That being said, Im not gonna make it an issue unless it happens another year.

Well, you also gotta remember those last 3 games were once he injured his THROWING THUMB where it affected his grip and accuracy bigtime, not to mention T.O. was injured also which affected the passign game the last 3 games on top of his thumb, I'm not worried at all!

Then I guess you would have no desire to hear my projection on Carpenter being traded for the first pick in the 2009 Draft (he will also be a better Kick returner than Devin Hester, taking fifteen returns to the house in 2008), how he becomes the best player of his generation, marries three Supermodels (at the same time), solves world hunger and has the most moving Hall of Fame speech of all time. ;)

He's going to have to do that and more to get rid of the bust tag around these parts. ;)

But seriously, that was a way funny post. You've got a great imagination.

Didn't he hurt it in the Packers game and then reinjure it a few games later? I know Romo, and the team for that matter, were never quite the same after that win.

Next Season (Assuming he stays healthy)

38 TDs
15 Int
4,000 YDS
95.0 RAT
6 300 yard games (16 for career, Cowboy Record)
At least gonna be in the Superbowl

Career (Assuming he stays healthy and plays another 6 years)

220 TDs (Cowboy record)
120 Int
26,000 YDS (2nd behind Troy)
92.0 RAT (Cowboy record)
2 x Superbowl Champion

Im gonna have to make some changes...Romo would have had 38 TD last year if Crayton caught the ball against Chicago and TO didnt hand over the ball against Green Bay...our younger recievers looked pretty good last year and they have a year under their belts with Garrett...with this my new numbers for next year are as follows: Just can't have another Bill's game.

40 TDs
16 Int
4300 YDS
100.0 RAT (104.9 would be a cowboy record I believe, don't think he will get
to that, although it could be close).
65% CMP
7 300 yard games (17 for career, cowboy record)

About Romo's stats, I see them going THROUGH THE ROOF, and not being a homer either, going by LOGIC and COMMON SENSE!
. . .

So when you add in the FACTS that he'll have better receivers then he did last year, plus add in another year on the O-lien getting more continuity which should not be underestimated, and with another year in the same offensive system which means he'll be more comfortable, and add in the fact that he'll have the experience of his 1st full season as an NFL starter which will cut down on his mistakes and improve his decision making also after learning, and that he's only gonna be better with more experience, I think he has a shot at breaking even more records.

. . .

So in TOTAL!

4,500 yards passing
44 T.D.'s
14 INT's
68% completion %
Over 100 Q.B. rating

When you factor in all my factors above, this is TOTALLY REALISTIC numbers to expect from him next year, and not being a homer, just what the facts and common sense tells me he'll get!
This entire thread is priceless, but this post in particular is the one I'm going to put in the vault.:lmao2:

Just curious on why you think his numbers will decrese so much?
I mean, 10 less T.D. passes when he should have a better supporting cast at W.R. and in year 2 of the same offense and in his 2nd full season as a starting Q.B., just wondering why you think he'd regress so much??

I think we had a record breaking offense last year.

I don't think we'll have that every year. I am not going to predict Cowboy records being broke every year. That's absurd.

Secondly, I think we'll run the ball in the red zone more next year.

I think we had a record breaking offense last year.

And then we are gonna take that same offense, give Romo another year of experience starting and in the same offense, and have a better receiving core, so I don't see why it's not a logical leap to think we'll be even better.

I don't think we'll have that every year.

If we have the same players, with our Q.B. getting more experience, I don't see why not.

I am not going to predict Cowboy records being broke every year. That's absurd.

Not when you have the same offense as last year, BUT you'll have your Q.B. with another years experience and have a better receiving core, It's not only not absurd, it's very probably.

Secondly, I think we'll run the ball in the red zone more next year.

This I could possibly see!

And if we predicted his stats for last year to be

36 TD
4200 + YDS
97.0 + RAT
64% CMP
Pro Bowl

Im sure you would have posted the laughing cowboy...but hey I would be upset to if your QB played against us and went 22-32 for 293 YDS and 4 TDs with a passer rating of 124.1 in a game that actually meant something. :laugh2:

I think similar to last year:

4000 Yds
32 TDs
18 Ints
95 rating

He still will throw some ints because he would rather look downfield and go for the longer throw than give up theplay early and dump it off ala Brady. I think that's his last piece of growing but if he takes that away he may lose his magic, so I'm ok with it.
