There was a point in the 3rd where he had 6 straight incomplete passes. He seemed off in the beginning until around the 4th qtr.

Definitely not on him but he was average yesterday. He completed less than 50 percent of the passes. Not good.

"I am a Romo backer but yesterday something was wrong with him. He was off. He didn't cost us the game but if he was on, we wouldn't have lost that game."

Agreed 100%

3 of those were drops on 3rd down fyi.

Wasn't Romo supposed to cut down on turnovers and forcing plays this year because our defense and running game were gonna be better?

And how many worthless throws to the sidelines that gave his receivers no chance did he have? Or on 3rd down where he was throwing deep to the endzone on a heave to Williams? He puts a little more air under that and Williams gets to it. He has inside position running away from the defender. Goes both ways.

Beside the 4th qtr, this offense flat out stunk.

Incomplete passes don't lose games. We led the whole way. And "until the 4th quarter" means nothing. We kept scoring in the 4th to put the game away. Defense is all time worst running game stinks. Seriously if Romo were forcing throws into traffic while under pressure he'd have far more picks and we be 2-6 or something and he'd still stink.

Romo has to do everything and he just can't. What part of all time worst defense and horrible running game is hard to grasp?

Led the whole way? We had what, a 3 point lead? 6? Wow. Huge lead.

Against the 31st ranked defense, we have 120yds of total offense going into the 4th.

Please. Both of these units sucked yesterday when it mattered.

On several plays there was a free defender barreling straight in on him. Agree some passes were floaters, probably due to rush, and no set up, but also realize that unless it's a quick hitter route, he had little time on several occasions to deliver.

You may have missed the 3 straight 3rd down passes in the 3rd quarter that were put in the WR hands but were dropped ending those drives.

Only Romo is blamed for not making plays. He is playing almost perfect turnover free ball while still far above league average in tds and yards.

Romo cannot single handedly overcome an all time worst defense and a horrible lack if running game and a poor GM and HC. But he makes a perfect fall guy to shift the blame for all those things.

You may be right. But from my view, It looked like Romo was making it tough to catch anything. He was over throwing, under throwing, and throwing behind a lot. Look like I said I love Romo and I'll be the first to say we only go as far as he takes us. But he is in a slump right now. It's kind of obvious. just hope that's the end of it for him.

are you implying others teams could turn his turnovers into points.

Did annyone else notice how it appeared Romo had trouble throwing the longer out patterns? The ball seemed to lack the zip he usually has. Not sure what might have been wrong if anything? But Romo did NOT look like his normal self? And I think where we blew it was the last series play calling. First, without the holding call the Lions get the ball back with about 38 seconds. I would have rather seen a pass play after they burned their last time out since we had not run on them the entire game. This loss hurt...... I hope we can recover.

only those that have failed football 101 would blame Romo. Unfortunately there are a lot here on the board who know as much about football as the dark side of the moon.

Bud I have been watching the Cowboys since 1972. Can you honestly sit their a tell me that Romo played well yesterday? He didn't cost us the game, but watch how in the pocket he seemed nervous and threw many balls on his heels. May be he was injured who knows, but Romo was off yesterday and something is not right with him the last 2 weeks.

When your QB has an off game (as he did) and he still throws for 3TDs and no INTs, you shouldn't doubt his being a top 10 qb.

I'm not blaming Romo, and the dropped passes I saw were not very good throws. How many times do they have to use their highest vertical leap to get the ball, or bend down 6 inches off the ground for it, or reach behind to get it. They say if ball hits their hands they should catch it, well how bout if he has two steps on the defender the ball should be placed where they don't have to be an acrobat to catch it. I still think Dez should be po'd for not being trusted to beat 1 on 1 all day, they trust Megatron (my wife understood his name after watching that performance) with triple coverage. I think it's a qb thing but I could be wrong.

Those TD's were the result of YAC, not good throws with tight coverage. Definitely top 15 if not 10 but those td's were more Dez and Williams than Romo, when I see what the Lions qb and receiver did I wonder why ours do not have the same trust or chemistry.
