Romo To Be Relieved Of Holding Duties

I don't think Wade or Jerry believed it. They were giving the guy an out hoping it would prevent him from getting down on himself. Didn't work.

As far as the board goes, I don't know how many did believe it but I didn't.

If that is true than coaching and mangement did this team a terrible disservice. This episode with Folk is over now, but it doesn't bode well as far as the leadership on this team is concerned. I hope they learned a lesson from that. He dang near cost us that Saints game, which is what got us on the strong role to finish that season. Had Folk missed that kick and we lose that game our season could have turned out very differently and Wade might not be here right now.

Jordan Shipley..

I agree, and I'm not a Texas homer. Unfortunately I'm a Notre Dame fan. Shipley makes too much sense for a team who needs a quality punt and kick return man, a holder, and receiver help. I know his measurables aren't great, but I think he'd play an important role on this team.

Patrick Crayton so we can run a fake once in a while..

They didn't run a fake with Romo, and surely could have, so why would Crayton do it?

Blaming McBriar for Folk's problems last year was the low point of the season for this franchise. Everyone believed it and it was an excuse the entire time. :(

McBriar blamed himself on several occasions, and evidence supported that there were a couple of times he didn't get the laces turned.

He also said he was reaching for the ball instead of letting it come to him, which threw off the placement.

Although I'd prefer for Romo to not hold, I'd rather have him do it than put McBriar back in the role or someone else equally unreliable. The kicker has enough to worry about without being wary of his holder.

I think this is why DeCamillis said the Cowboys would like for Romo not to do it ... because right now, Romo is the only one the coaches know they can rely on.

If we waste a draft pick on Jordan Shipley, I'll be highly upset.
