Twitter: Romo took shot to return to game; has back contusion

how about you man up to the fact that what you know about football can be inscribed on the head of a pin?

That head of a pin is millions times greater than what you have ever learn gain or lost in regards to the concept or the mere understanding of football.

The coaches failed us.

Not Romo.

Exactly. They should know better than to put Romo back in. And they should've accepted he was hurt and played accordingly.

I expect an athlete to lobby to get himself in there. I also expect the coach to know what's best for the athlete, and the team, and shut him down.

This is Garrett's job. He's not calling plays on offense or defense. He needs to make these major in-game decisions.

Unfortunately, he wussed out. Let Romo (and likely Jerry) make the decision for him.

I'm just really having a hard time with romo getting back in the game.

I'm fairly certain weedon could have finished the game or ot with more success.

I just don't get it. It's like tony didn't want weedon to come in and have success

I remember Emmitt Smith was quoted as saying "I didn't miss many games because I didn't want my backup to come in and do a better job than me". I think most athletes think that way.

Dont need a shoulder, im simply pointed out FACTS in this game. So how about you man up accept the truth Romo FAILED us this game.

Lol!! As the saying goes "arguing with an idiot only proves there's two". I'm done with you.

Did Jesse Holley win a season of "Medical School & Long" and nobody told us?

Like this one better, and from an actual MD:

Romo should never have been allowed to come back. That's on the coach. I'd have more respect for Garrett if it put his foot down and told Romo to sit down. That's what a real coach would have done ... not risk Romo's life to win a lousy football game.

bang on. This was on JG. Romo should NOT have been put back in; and after just a play or two it was clear he was not doing well so he should have been pulled out. That is TWO mistakes right there. And on JG.

Please.

This is Romo's team. We sink or swim with him. He's the leader. Let him lead.

I disagree. He was clearly not 100% and the team was moving the ball under Weeden. Perhaps they give him a shot at the end of the game, but it was readily apparent the back was bothering, not only his mobility but effecting his decision making, tough decision but JG should have sat him to begin the OT.

I was surprised Romo came back into the game, I would have perfered Weeden finish the game.

Agreed.

The coach makes that call based off how confident he is that the player is ready to go. Romo said he was ready to go, he could play, and they went with their leader.

I don't know if it's over looked, or forgotten, but people need to not forget how that's also going to play to the rest of their players. They saw their team leader, their franchise, hurt, in pain, and come back in and give you his all to try and win. That's going to remain with them.

It's hard to say what Romo could, or couldn't, have done there at the end because I don't feel like the play calling was at it's best to help him out, especially in OT.

Outstanding point that I know isn't lost on his teammates.
